McDonald's: McDonald's Increases Size of the Quarter Pounder Burger, Reports Say The company switched their quarter pounder by increasing the amount of beef by .25 ounces, reports say. The size follows a reported spike in beef prices. McDonald's has not elaborated on the change. Wouldn't it make sense to decrease if the price of beef is going up? Logic anyone?

Tea at the McDonald's down the block from where I work has been $1.42 for quite a while now. It was still $1 when I first started going there, then went to $1.20 something, and now $1.42.

Well... You are what you eat.... So... I must be eating the rump with the size of mine. Lol! My dad used to say they put red worms in it for filler. Years later, find out companies use stuff like ground roaches for coloring. Mmmmmmm..... Tasty. Lol!

Perhaps they would try to say it is now just a 'name of the product', not really a precise measurement. Didn't Subway go through this recently with the 'footlong' subs? Are any of the jumbo hot dogs REALLY a foot long? There is some industry precedent. I am not sure that really matters or not. They claim it is 4 ounce precooked weight.....I think the better question is 4 ounces of WHAT. ALL BEEF? Fillers, extenders, and who knows what? IF it IS all beef.....do we really want to know what portion of that cow got ground up to make the McBurger? Toes, lips, bone marrow, and Lord only knows what body parts? You can bet it wasn't select cuts. one pound of ground beef is only a pound till you cook it up. depending on the mixture rate it could be 80/20 or even 70/30 which would mean you are buying a lot of beef fat for that cheap price per pound. I try to watch what I buy when purchasing ground beef.

In a burger you need the fat to be juicy. Too lean of meat and it's dry.

I'm lactose intolerant, tomato sauce has too much acid, veggies irritate my stomach. I'm a mess! Lol! Funny thing is, I have no problems with fresh tomatoes. Make it into a sauce, and o my. Can't have lasagna two days in a row. Certain cheeses I can tolerate better than others. I guess it's a good thing that I can't stand milk. Lol!
