When a fast food chain goes to where customers are ordering at self serve, in the future, then there will be less jobs. Then what happens to the living wage?

I don't see McDonald's lasting in streator if this $15hr Passes. A McDonald's in a little rural city would not make it with this much an hr v.s. in a big city

Because McDonald's was a client, we had a number of firm functions at their "university" in Oak Brook. It is a nice facility, but I wonder how those poor underpaid workers found the place and how they got there. Some of the protestors are from places like Kansas City and New York, but I am sure that they didn't fly first class.
Those employees can be replaced. ¿Le gustaría papas fritas con ese batido?

Yes I'll have fries w/ my Big Mac. Streator's McD's does a great business. I have never driven by w/o seeing 5 or 6 cars in line. It is a gold mine.

food will not be cheap at any place that has to pay 15.00 an hour. a lot these people that want the wages raised to 15.00 an hour had better be ready to start looking for another place to work.

The McDonald's company has been having some well-documented financial problems. Also, the company does not set the wages in franchised operations, about 90 % of the places with "Golden Arches." However, the union behind all of this chose McDonald's corp. headquarters to attack. I know the union involved, and they never seem to have a clue.

These people will end up on unemployment or welfare. cause McDonald's will just close down all restraunts in the U.S. That is what corporations are doing to avoid paying high wages ..

McDonald's will never close. Just like alcohol and cigarettes, no matter how much it costs people will still pay it. If they raise the wage to $15 an hour people currently employed there should worry though as many people will start to apply there and take their jobs. If it happens I will be applying. It's a $5 an hour raise from where I currently work.

I can see it now MM. A corporation making a profit will close its doors because it is told to pay higher wages. I think they would cut back hours of employees or lay off some before they would give up a profit. I also don't think that min wage will get to $15/hr anytime soon for fast food workers.
