75/25 is what I but, anymore lean than that doesn't really have a taste in my opinion. Anything else would be uncivilized!

McWhopper: McDonald's Turns Down Burger King's Offer to Create Joint Hamburger for Day of Peace "We love the intention but think our two brands could do something bigger to make a difference," the McDonald's CEO said in a Facebook post. Burger King proposed the burger truce in full-page ads.

Burger King proposed the burger truce in full-page ads. Instead they should come together to create a meal featuring Burger King's hamburger paired with McDonald's french fries. That's a partnership I could endorse.

I can have ice cream, but only before 3 oor 4 in the afternoon. Any time later & it comes back to haunt me. Ten years ago I always sucked down ice cream at night.

But I've seen Burger Kings coupons more often in the mail and do use them. But you can also use those Burger King's coupons at McDonald's, though.

I have become more disappointed with the taste of fast food burgers over the years. I used to like most of them better than I do now. I don't know if it is the quality or my own taste buds, but they just don't taste that good to me. I really DO miss Woody's and Silverfross. I miss Savoia's. I DO like Mr. J's OK and get a quick meal from time to time. Is it just me or do we not have as many GOOD options anymore? I agree with the lack of taste. Wonder if it's the quality. Maybe more fillers than beef anymore.

I always had a notion that McD's was made for kids. i.e. possibly a lot of sugar. I don't eat them very much, but yes McD's has very good fries and as a young man, I used to eat cheese whoppers, fries & a choc milkshake. Now, I like Wendy's for their fresh veggies on the burgers & the chile. Good thing Streator doesn't have one.

I agree Dave. I kind of prefer Wendy's. I like Culver's too. I know part of that is that you always want what you don't have. I have been disappointed with our KFC/Longjohns too. By the looks of the parking lot, others have too. Nasty! Sogged up my chicken waiting for the biscuits. They're not supposed to cook the chicken and fish in the same oil, but it sure tastes like it is.

I don't like, nor ever have liked McDs burgers or too many other fast-food ones. You can get good burgers all over town, but it's not fast-food rests. It's reg. rests. & Bar & Grills. Tekes, B&R, Kangley Inn, Toppings, Bull Pen & many more. I don't mind if they're frozen, but I want fresh-frozen THEY made, not the skinny patties w/crap in them. I do love Carvers tho, esp. the Cod sandwiches.
I thought the same thing, that KFC & LJS were to keep seperate fryers! That's been a big No NO in town & peeps knew just WHO did it or they didn't change the grease often enough.

Toppings has sweet potato fries and they are great. I use BBQ ranch dip or a chipolte! They are even good dipped in a cream cheese type sweet dip!!!

Don't forget Da Lee's has good burgers & a lot more good food. Great for a nice neighborhood bar & restaurant. MM, I agree Culver's has some good food & excellent service. If you are in Ottawa, the Brite Spot on Norris Dr. is great.

FYI , It's Tenderlion Tuesday at the Broadway Tap. (Just around the corner.)

If you are in Ottawa, the Brite Spot on Norris Dr. is great. After Janet left DaLees, then Rosemary died, I haven't eaten from there. Just too many mistakes ... all the time! The driver started to walk away w/the change from a $20.00 & the cost was around $11.00 or so. I mean ... I'll tip you, but DON'T ever DO that! I'll decide the amount of the tip! I love the Trapps beef sandwiches from Bulldogs. Never tried thier burgers.
