i am too old and the circulation isn't like it use to be. my hands and feet get cold really easy now. the rest of me hardly ever gets cold. That's because we are round in the middle................. ;-) Same here. And yea mholcomb, many of us old farts feel it deep in our bones. Mine started after d**n near freezing to death in an ice storm. Dunno if it is because of that or age, it just SUCKS.

What with all the arguments about separation of church and state and the fights about prayer and references to God in the state/taxpayer supported school systems I would think the "Act of God" excuse to call off school will eventually end up being challenged in the court system. I'm not saying it is right or wrong. Just stating a point. Does this mean that anything that is out of human control is an act of God? One thing for sure is this topic is excersizing my mind and making me want to write far much more than my forefinger wants to poke out on this teeny phone keyboard. I was always curious about capitalizing it, technically by capitalizing it you are singling out one faith, but I don't get hung up on it. The term itself is just a general way of saying outside our control, it legally doesn't mean God did it, even if that is what many believe, hence the phrase.

And I understand all that. I was just doing a little playing "devils advocate " arguing the "Act of God" issue. That said, I still think the children are better off going to school. Speaking for myself, I cannot remember one time that school was canceled because of the cold weather unless the heating system was not working or the pipes froze and broke.

Well, since the subject came up. I heard early this morning that there was a house that had water leaking in going on the electrical system. The people was concerned about that. And another house this morning had a structural fire. Not a good day for that.

It’s an act of God when Angels come down from Heaven and influence something.
