We have smaller cars now that gas got expensive. So less gas taxes are around. I don't care because in the end cheap gas/natural gas and thus energy is going to be good for the economy.

A barrel of oil is at $40 per barrel. And the economist are worried about the pricing of oil. Go figures. But I would think that the gas prices would still be lower than what they are. Just my opinion. I am glad to see the prices under $2.00. It's nice to see a gallon of milk be lower. Should we worry that something is going to happen? Is this a warning that there will be a major war?

Yes, I do realize that we are in the middle of most of this. But will it become worse?

That added literally Billions in expense, so while the oil might be cheaper, the refining expense is up.

All that fancy Equipment needed to meet the EPA guidelines for the Boutique blends of fuel and also remove the Sulpher from the oil or refined products is not cheap. If Diesel fuel was still allowed to be 50 PPM of Sulpher instead of the 15 the EPA mandates it would be 1 Buck a gallon cheaper easily. However since they will not allow the old LSD instead it has to be ULS to be sold we get screwed at the pump.

I saw it had dropped to the $1.88/gal range yesterday around town. That is still is cheap.

According to the news, people are speculating that gas prices are going to drop to the average of $1.25 per gallon this year. I will see, but it would also be nice if gas was that price.

The Times Press had an article, in todays paper about gas prices are bad. I can not cut and paste here until I get a new mouse. But the article states the economist are extimating job lost. Apparently since near the end of 2014 Texas has lost 2,300 jobs. And down the line, Texas could lose 30,000 jobs. The article is also talking about other states, like Alaska.

No use in letting others on here know, they will just degrade you. They rather live the fantasy that all is good.
