One more time I'll ruffle MrBeans feathers & comment on Bullheads. As I said previously I'd only visited BH once before it closed, but my Father in law had gone there on a regular basis & he seemed to be very pleased with every aspect of the place when we visited. It wasn't the sort of spot I enjoyed 25 years ago & I can't say I'm a regular now, but I will return simply for the pleasure the place gives to those we care about. There are many genres in the food service industry, & I'm glad to see old places brought back, as was mentioned by someone before me, people get such pleasure from "going back".

That was fast. Have not heard much on 4 corners, are they still opened? From what I've heard...4 Corners are doing a pretty good business. I'll have to get their hours and post them on here for everyone. Far as I do know they are closed on Sunday's and Monday's. They are in the process of obtaining a liquor license, and then getting in the gaming machines too then. And yes...that's a fact, and not a rumor................lol. M

I've been to 4 Corners once to place a take out order. I sat at a counter or table near the cashier while waiting and could see only 2 people running the place; a man cooking, a woman assisting him, waiting tables, and cashier. They were hard workers
As soon as I walked in the door, the odor of sewer gas over powered any smell of food. If I hadn't been there for take out, I would have turned around and walked out with out looking at a menu. The odor was so overbearing and unpleasant, there was no way I could have stayed and eaten there. I believe this was after the last time they closed and reopened.
There were plenty of very elderly people dining, I figured to be rural regulars. The prices were reasonable so I could see this to be an accessible and affordable place for people who live outside of town or in the outlining small towns to go for an early dinner.
Anyone else experience the issue with the odor?

I remember Bullheads for their Friday night Seafood Buffet, relish tray, breadsticks, and yummy 3 container salad dressing served at the table. Mixing their "House dressing with a Red Russian" was my favorite.
Bullheads was the first place I'd eaten Frog Legs...... OMGoodness, they were good, we'd go for the frog legs alone. IF, you can find a restaurant that serves Frog legs, they cost too much to order as an appetizer let alone to have on a Buffet all you can eat !
I plan on trying to eat there soon and hope they are successful this time around. Through advertising and location close off of the Interstate, I hope this helps them to bring an increase of customers and revenue.

Anyone else experience the issue with the odor? Never experienced that "sewer gas" smell that you did, and yes unfortunately we had sewer issues years ago which led to digging up our front yard...not once but THREE times in order to solve the huge problem....so I DO know what you are referring to, YUCK! In all the years going to the Four Corners did I ever smell that. We used to hold our Streator Hobby Council meetings there all the time, we'd meet there and all eat, and then head into the backroom for our regular meetings. This that you mention of had to have been within the last 10 years, probably then why the place did close again. BUT now with new renovations and new management that isn't the case then. So...please do give that place another try ! M
