Had friends go out over the weekend. Not impressed. Said it was way over priced and nothing special. His words, not mine.

I went with friends last night and it was great. I thought the prices were fair. I had 1/4 chicken light, drink and dessert and it was $11.65. If people want cheaper than that go to McDonald's. The chicken breast was huge. The creamy garlic dressing was very good too. The service was what impressed us the most. The little gal that waited on us was very nice and kept us laughing. I am so glad they opened back up.

That's odd. I haven't heard that from anyone. (That the prices were high) I've only heard good things.

I read a scathing account on facebook. Said the owner was over heard gossiping about patrons. Said the waitress was rude, when they got the wrong order and was miffed when patron did not want, what they did NOT order. Said they will never go back.

My mother in law went last night. No reservations and had to wait only about 10 minutes for a seat. Food was good but it took them an hour to get their food.

We went to Bullhead's over the weekend. The atmosphere was great. The food was okay. I had the Prime Rib which was great. My husband had the Ribeye which was tough. The owner seems to run a tight ship but she could do it a little quieter and not chastise her staff in front of the patrons. She complained about the choice of music playing and the fact that one of the light bulbs in a light fixture was different from the other ones...which were across the room. She also never had a smile on her face for any of the customers. I felt bad for the table behind us. It was an older couple who was so excited that the restaurant had reopened. They placed their order and the wife was given a Filet Mignon instead of the Prime Rib she ordered. The waitress insisted she ordered the Filet Mignon. The woman kept it. Then the waitress came back later and said she felt bad because there is a big price difference between the two entrees. I think they should have only charged her for the Prime Rib but no offer was made.
It was a nice trip down memory lane to revisit the restaurant but I don't think we will go back.

This is the fourth time, I have heard how rude the owners and staff were. Seems some things never change.

Well, we stopped by because we were on the way back to town and hungry and wanted to give it a try. They served us a cracker tray with butter or cheese spread as well as a relish tray with carrots, celery and radishes. That is kind of a blast from the past. I am not sure many places do that anymore. The atmosphere is casual but nice. The decor is a little dark and busy. It would be tough to keep dusted and clean. It was clean when we were there, but will be interesting to see if it is still kept clean a year from now. It's a 'rustic' decor. It certainly feels like a date and a night out kind of place. The food choices are largely steak, chicken, a few fish choices and pasta. I had some broiled walleye and was not thrilled, it was a bit undercooked and smelled pretty fishy as a result. In all fairness it was a pretty thick fillet which would have taken a bit longer to cook. It was OK, but nothing outstanding. My Wife had Chicken Parmigiana and it was OK but just OK. The Chicken was a reformed product like a cheap breaded chicken patty, not a real chicken breast. The pasta was cooked nicely but long on cheese and short on sauce.....that is just a preference. The prices were reasonable for what we got and the service was good. In short, it's good to have them open. We will be back sometime and try some steak, but it may be a little while before we return, no hurry on our part. Range of diner prices are roughly 10-12 dollars up to 15 or maybe 17 for some nicer steaks. Not too bad really for a night out and the cracker and relish trays, good full service and nice decor. What day/time did you stop there?
