The generosity of donors provided paint(neutral base) to help the appearance of that building Kudos to those who put their money where their mouth is. Thank You.

Kudos to those who put their money where their mouth is. Thank You. Good catch on that one Myself. I did have to laugh out loud at that. Yes, kudos to you, too, on spearheading the paint drive. I was referring to the fountain donors, but every little bit helps. Thank you for the laugh. (That's not meant in a sarcastic way, either. I appreciate the levity.)

I enjoyed the laugh too.
Seriously though, mine was more of a symbolic donation and can't compare to the $100,000 given by others.
It is great that we have such generous people here.

It is being renovated due to the generosity of two donors who have pledged $100 grand towards the project. Which reminds me, I still have to make a donation to the worthwhile cause too. You forgot to mention that the council committed tax payers to the entire $138,000.00 cost before announcing that they had any donations.Thank you to those donors. You're wrong on your ans. to my post! This is the 4th post, on page one & YOU did too start it!

I believe he is referring to the fact that there are no "industrial" zones, they are actually called "Manufacturing" zones. Manufacturing Districts Established. The following districts are hereby established primarily to accommodate enterprises engaged in the manufacturing, processing, creating, repairing, renovating, painting, cleaning, or assembling of goods, merchandise or equipment: M-1 light manufacturing and M-2 heavy manufacturing. The performance standards set per Section 17.36.030 place limitations on the characteristics of uses located in these districts. The limitations and use restrictions in the M-1 district are more restrictive than those in the M-2 district.

Exactly. I'm just curious why the city would supposedly require what Kyle says is restrictive industrial zoning when it would have been m-1 or m-2 zoning. That's why I was curious about what the city actually said in Kyles letter and not simply what he has been telling people on here.

Sorry Blue, I thought you were talking about the other issues that Oldtimer brought up that were railroading this thread. Thank you for clarifying that it was post #4 that you were referring to. Dragonfly started this thread asking what our city is spending our money on for the park now. Dog's post not only avoided the question asked by the OP, but was very deceptive, in my opinion, making dragonfly and others think that no tax money was being spent, so I thought that I would provide more information. Why should people be deceived? If someone wants to know how their tax money is being spent, shouldn't they get the correct information? I thought that I was only stating a truthful answer to the question the thread was started to ask; I didn't and don't think that it was railroading the thread. I respect your opinion, but will accept it as just that.

The letter says that M-1 Light Industrial zoning is required.
As I have said before, I have heard the terms manufacturing and industrial used as synonyms many times when talking about zoning.

That's why I was curious about what the city actually said in Kyles letter and not simply what he has been telling people on here. Do you know how many years I have been talking about this on here? How many times I have talked to the council about it? Or letters to the editor? I've talked about it not following our laws and therefor being corruption. Don't you think that if I was just making it up that they would have already said something? If you want to believe that I made it up, go ahead.

Then you had better tell the City and Chamlin to remove the Manufacturing/Industrial legend from their map. Seems it would be more honest than trying to inject words into Kyles mouth to make a cheap point.

The zoning maps from the city website and the municipal code don't have industrial mentioned in the legend.
