M.M. I believe that is one of those urban legends that continues to be perpetuated. I was around during the "womens movement" of the late 1960's early 1970's and I have no recollection of such goings on. I do remember my efforts for collecting soap, and trying to deal with it,(as a student in an old fashioned dorm room) for the Biaffran (sp) refugees. I also recall when S.D.S. came to our campus, and I didn't realize exactly what they stood for, but I still got called into the office of the dean of women, scary times for an 18 year old. But I have no recall of a B.B. protest, and in the early '70's I'd moved to Carbondale, and they protested for any reason there. :-)

From heat to books to bras to music. How about film next? I agree with your music tastes, so I thought I'd recommend some of my favorite music films: Concert for George - Eric Clapton and other friends and band-mates perform a tribute concert on the first anniversary of George Harrison's death. Filmore - a documentary from the early '70's with Bill Graham dealing with some great artists performing at his San Fransisco theatre. Stop Making Sense - I like the way it starts with just David Byrne and a tape deck and they build the set and add pieces as it goes on, plus the good music. This Is Spinal Tap - I know it's just a made up band, but how can you not love Big Bottom and the rest of the hilarious film? (this video is not from the film, but a tour afterwards with some actual musicians)
