He was spot on, wasn't he? Lets hope he practices now, what he preached then. These times are a little bit different than March 2006.

Yes, let's hope so. Because it would be unthinkable for a President to say "Read my lips - no new taxes" before he's President, and then raise taxes as soon as he gets in. Oh, wait. That was a Republican President who said one thing before he became President and did another after. But that doesn't count, right? It doesn't count when it's a Republican, right? Yeah. You believe that, and I've got enough bridges to sell ya that it'll pay off the deficit. Yea, we DUMPED hisbuttafter his flip flop. It remains to be seen if Dems. have the same set of stones, or will they whimper before their master. Want to bet how the majority of Dems vote? Sniper, There you go again. "we dumped him after his flip-flop", I do believe GHW Bush was nominated for President and was defeated by William Jefferson Clinton. You are posting revisionist History at it's best! Who's the "we" to who you refer as DUMPING" GHW Bush " for his "flip-flop". Gee, did you "DUMP" GHW Bush and vote for William Jefferson Clinton ,a Democrat, for President who proceeded to do what was best for the country and "raise the tax rate"? If so, it was the smartest move you ever made, wasn't it? If we could just get back to those HAPPY DAYS! Did you REALLY support Clinton? I sincerely doubt it! So 'splain to us Lucy, how GHW Bush was DUMPED by the highly principled advocates of the GROVER NORQUIST PLEDGE when that would ensure the election of Clinton without "YOUR" support. I do thank you though , and the Country thanks you, if indeed help elect President Clinton (D). So, Sniper if the "G'NO'P" nominates someone who did not sign Grover Norquist's Pledge, would you ensure Obama's re-election by endorsing the unelectable candidate the Tea Party supports. Can you say "Bull Moose"? g ;D

He won with America's support rather than with the dumping of the previous President.

These times are a little bit different than March 2006. No they arent, its still a sign of failure. You really don't think so? I don't remember trying to recover from a global economic collapse in 2006? Although we had already accumulated almost $8 trillion in debt with nothing to show for it other than an impending global financial collapse. Allow President Obama to invest as much as GW was allowed to spend, and our country will once again gain it's position as the strongest nation in the world. Besides, we'll have something to show for it (the debt).

Nope, although Clinton was 1000 times a better man than the piece of garbage in there now, I could not support him either. Personally, I voted for Perot, but I knew many who simply did not vote rather than give Bush their support. That was the reason for the bet about how many Democrats would act with principle.

. Besides, we'll have something to show for it (the debt). The only thing we will have to show for it is a bigger hole. You previously admitted to not being an economist, so where are you dreaming this stuff up?

If Debt Is the Problem, Why Do You Want More of It? Ron Paul is correct again. This administration lies and uses fear, they hold the senior hostage, and the scum stooped to holding the military hostage to allow for more debt. The government should pay their bills. The funds that the scum raided were paid for at least once, and now we get get to pay again. We are Greece. This debt ceiling is a bailout. Look peeps, Greece gets a bailout from the IMF. That gave them exactly what they don't need, more debt, and now they are closer to default than ever. What the hell make people in this country think we are different. Magic wands are a myth, math is a certainty, and default is a given. Wake the hell up! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEP8cQF-QC4He's not a genius, he just has a lot of common sense.

I've seen animals learn from trial and error many times. Could it be they are smarter than Democrats? It isnt just democrats, its politicians in general. Animals dont have to worry about keeping their jobs. Animals have no agenda. Once a politician wins his office, his agenda shifts from DOING his job..............to KEEPING his job. Most animals dont usually bite the hand that feeds them , where an elected official will take your hand off all the way to the shoulder, and then tell you that it was for your own good.

I'll have to agree with you on that... Trouble is that in the past they were praised for{bringing home the bacon}I don't know about you,but as far as I"m concerned-this hogs out of fat........ Time to pull back and live within our means!
