good thing the election isn't being held today It is for the GOP. A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows "President Obama holds a stronger political position than Republicans entering the end-game of their standoff over the debt ceiling".

people go to the grocery store and the gas station...check the job situation...then they vote for hope and big change believe me Hope and change instead of wiping out the US and world. I'm all for fighting to keep the US and remaining a citizen. I hate to burst your bubble but commodity prices went through the roof and the dollar went through the floor long before Obama was sworn in as President. Check for yourself. It's too easy for you to forget when our dollar was at $00.72, oil was 149/barrel, corn at $8.00/bushel, ect. Didn't you think those prices would ever reach your wallet? As far as jobs, unemployment had already reached 9.8% when Obama took office, and as we have already heard, even after receiving the continual benefit of tens years of tax cuts and incentives, business is too uncertain about investing in the US.

it doesn't matter boys people vote their pocketbook always have, always will voters don't care how popular you are or how cool you seem ( they don't care if there is a dem or a repub in there either) they vote for the best conditions if the conditions are not that great at the time of the election, more often than not, you get promoted out of office been that way for a long time still time to turn things around though, yes?

Poll or no poll, current or projected economic conditions dictate who's doing a good job and who stays in control long term

You're correct, and people are beginning to see the light. Yes they are beginning to see the light and understanding we're lucky to still have an economy. The boat is still afloat even with all the attempts to sink it. I dont believe that is what people are starting to see, but if that belief floats YOUR boat, I sure am glad I have a life jacket when you go down with the sinking ship. When people such as super feel the need to post on the political board, it shows that average americans(no offense super) are worried about where this country is headed under the current president and congress.
