Neither Action nor myself by any means wanna see this dog put to sleep. He needs somebody with a lot of time. With decent money for the good food. It will take a while to get him used to dieting. He will SLOWLY need to be moved up in exercise. Neither of us at this point are able to provide that for him. So if anybody is up for the task please get a hold of her before she has to move.

Stars.....do you half read posts? I think you should go back and read. The ORIGINAL owner......or do you just wanna skip over the posts where I did indeed clarify that? Action is NOT the ORIGINAL owner. I am NOT the ORIGINAL owner. Action and myself are NOT to BLAME for this dogs weight problem. However Stars, you are more than free to get a hold of action to adopt the dog if you think you could do a better job. And yes, it's unfair for a dog to have to be put asleep because his ORIGINAL owner didn't see weight gain as an issue. Action and myself are beyond ways to help him lose weight at this point. Neither of us even know if it can be fixable. 7 years of bad habits doesn't go away very easily. I highly recommend you going to see this dog, and try to lift, or walk with this dog before you have your mind set. LOL..Nope I read it all...I already know all of this ..since Actions very 1st Post I wish I could keep him, but as I told action..I already have 2 dogs..and my hands are full between the 2 of them.. and I cant take on more than I can handle.. I always try to think ahead.. apparently..Shi..didnt get much exercise....Im sure he can be helped & lose weight...short frequent walks cant hurt any..sorry I dont give up that easy..lol

Did the dog get check for any illness like diabetes....?? Canine Diabetes symptoms are excessive hunger , excessive thirst , and excessive urination..... Could also be a thyroid issue. Thats what my dogs problem was. After I took him in, he ate alot, drank alot, gained weight..and started loseing his hair.

All I know of his medical history was when they took him in 08 and was kept over night it was just a weight issue and nothing beyond that was causing it. Those where the only records I had access too. However from what I heard they where taking him to happy tails recently and I couldn't get any of those records. I don't think anything different has developed in the time frame cause it's still the same issue. However, I wasn't able to get him into the vet as I planned for this week because it didn't work out. Action "might" have more details on his medical history and could answer your guys questions better than I could.

BOX 281 OAK FOREST, IL 60452 708-925-9112 I was a fan of that one too. I'm hoping that after explaining the situation and the probable outcome for the poor dog, that they have a foster home waiting & willing to accept the challenge. It's not fair for the dog to suffer and die because of the original owner's poor decisions.
