Might be worth the time to tune in again once in a while. Mostly because the Karens are having a meltdown............ probably the same Karens that ruined NASCAR with their woke, hypocritical, virtue signalling bullsh!t. .......... www.the-sun.com/motors/4366297/nascar-driver-lets-go-brandon-brown/ NOT BACKING DOWN Nascar driver who inspired ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ chant unveils new car and sponsorship from LGBcoin cryptocurrency.

I stopped showing much interest when they fined Jr points and $25 grand after he said sh!t after a huge win. I think it was Talladega? Then the whole stupid woke virtue signalling crapola over the Confederate Flag. Then throw in Bubba and his make believe noose. I should have known better than to even have an inkling to want to tune in again in the first place.

Things were in some ways pretty much like Jackass in the past except it was real.

How about Red Farmer though in his 80s and still racing... it has to be his dad's coattails because he isn't going there from his accomplishments. bubba wallace is there to promote blacks in nascar not on his driving skills.

Let's see here 2 time Xfinity champion 15 time most popular driver 2 time Daytona 500 winner 6 times at talladega. Plus his ownership of his xfinity teams that have won 5 championships found drivers such as Truex Kezolowski Elliot and others. He forced concussions into the forefront of driver health and safety. No more racing in a freaking fog with a concussion anymore. Yes he never won the big series title however his total impact on the sport is worthy. Not just because he has the name of Earnhardt in it. Plus people forget he is the only rookie to ever win the all star race.

His father and grandfather both came through in an era where they were dirt poor, and no win, no eat. We all want better for our kids than we had it, and Jr. did not have the do or die pressure, it always pissed me off that he would rather play video games than race. We also cannot put ourselves in his shoes after just about dying in that racing fire, and then seeing his father pay the price. I can think of a few others I might not have admitted long before him.

Never been a big Earnhart fan of either generation .Although I will admit the sport lost a lot when his dad died. As sniper knows I'm not a fan of this chase format and still support short track racing rather than these big tracks where people just watch for the big crashes.

being a fan favorite doesn't equal driving ability it means a free ticket to race before others that are more qualified.

In regards to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, it's been a joke since the very beginning and it deserves not to be taken seriously. It lost all credibility when David Pearson was not inducted in the first class of inductee's. Pearson is widely regarded as the best driver ever to compete in NASCAR stock car racing. I could regurgitate his many top line accomplishments but if I did this would turn into a War & Peace length exercise.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame further diminishes it's own credibility by not yet inducting Henry "Smokey" Yunick. Smokey's accomplishments are as stellar as anyone already inducted and more impressive than most. The reason Smokey isn't in is because he had the audacity to tell the truth regarding the France family, especially Bill France Sr. Smokey was a brutally honest patriot/WW II bomber pilot and Bill France Sr. was a WW II draft dodger and a con man with few, if any, ethics. Smokey knew of which he spoke since he was a part of NASCAR from the very beginning and was on the receiving end of some of the crooked double dealing that went on between France Sr. and Smokey. Don't take my word for it, read Smokey's autobiography and see for yourself.
I like Dale Earnhardt Jr. I like him a lot more than his ol' man but lets face it, if the NASCAR Hall of Fame had any tangible credibility the overall career of Dale Jr. would not measure up to Hall of Fame standards. No knock on him, just the facts. Being voted NASCAR's Most Popular Driver a dozen times has NOTHING to do with on track stats. Like I said, I really like Dale Jr. but HoF material? Nope.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is not relevant. They have to induct guys like Dale Jr. so there is some pop culture appeal to younger NASCAR fans who believe that if it didn't happen in their conscious lifetime it's not important. The people who run the HoF need to induct recognizable figures so someone is willing to pay to go through the place, simple as that.
