He promised one guy a certain amount of money per week to cook for him then expected 60-70 hours. He ran his help and customers off. Yup That's pretty much what happened. Sounds more like a bad business plan. Then say Streator people are who you blame. Nonsense.

Seriously how many restaurants can Streator support...Satches is gone also.. It's certainly a challenge. There is less expendable income than there was back in the day. You have to put out a product people are willing to pay for. Honestly, I think most of the places that are struggling are mostly due to their own shortcomings. I really miss some of the options we used to have. Oogies/Silverfross Savoias Woodys a GOOD chicken/pasta joint (I don't think KFC is putting out chicken nearly as good as they used to, or Little Red Hen) Where would you order a half gallon of pasta? Maybe someplace with some smoked meat, brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken (bullpen isn't bad) KFC doesn't taste like it did back 20 years ago. I stopped eating there long ago except in an emergency. what I loved they quit selling at the Streator KFC. I loved the crispy hot wings.

Last I knew,Mona's servers fried chicken and spaghetti in buckets to go. Very popular. Exactly Dave, and we get it to bring home from time to time. We buy it at Avanti's in Normal occasionally too. And it's silly, it's not too tough to make at home, just love the convenience sometimes. Mona's/Capponis is hard to beat though..... I've been going to Monas since I was born. And every time I visited. I introduced my kids to the wonderfulness of Mona's. There is a reason they have an area to wait for a table.

007 seems to really not want me to post on my blog where she seems to only be trying to be disruptive to my conversation with maskedman (who clearly wants to have a duscussion about me and the issues I talk about),so I am posting on other threads. I am not the one painting any ugly pictures Kyle. What part is not accurate? You blame all those people and circumstances for your business failure. And you say ugly petty things about people that have a different opinion than YOU do, like you will smite them for daring to stand up to you or say something to defy you. YOU are the cyber bully Mr. Mitchell. And yes, my recent post IS you, not painting some ugly picture, just a reflection of you, your words and what you have become. And NO, I don't have some Doctorate to psycho analyze anyone. But to use your logic and words. I am just a guy with a degree in ice cream dipping, and it's abundantly clear to me(and others) that you have issues with a successful bar across the street from you. I can see it, other posters can see it, but because Kyle Mitchell can't see it....it aint so. It HAS to be the City Fathers, it's the bar, it's the people from the bar, it's the cops because they let the bar patrons drink too much, fight too much, pee too much, it's the bar owner, it's the city and it's people itself because some of them like to drink..... It's gone on and on for over 300 pages. How long since you got even ONE 'LIKE'? Just even ONE? If you are really wanting to see change come about, 'sometimes less is more'. You have alienated and berated your audience here Kyle. Sometimes a well timed Whisper can have more effect than a constantly blaring bullhorn. Wow masked man, are you really that closed minded that you just refuse to listen to anything I say? Haven't you heard me say manty times that my business at the Majestic was not a failure? I took a long time boarded over building that was in no condition to be any viable business, turned it into a beautiful unique first run movie palace, and kept working on improvements to the very old building. I held food drives, benefit shows, and community clean ups to be able to give back to our community. There are other successes in involved too. I was just thinking yesterday of my annual pre-Cruise Night pushes to finish off another section of the marquee restoration. This year I was going to clean my windows but am boarding over one instead because a "pretty well intoxicated" guy on a bike crashed into it. Just another negative impact. At least our community got some great Cruise Night photos under that marquee to remember the place by, isn't that a success? As much as I had invested in the venture and as hard as I kept working on the place, I am just a hard working average person, not a big money person to keep taking care of the many problems of such an old building that the owner couldn't afford to fix. Don't you ever remember me saying that my business there ended because the owner asked me to leave to make way for the big money people who had already given him a huge deposit that he couldn't refuse and were coming to fix all the problems with the building and make it the sustainable business that it should be? I could have stripped my investment and tried to keep the community from being able to enjoy the unique movie palace like it seems the Ottawa realtor did, but I was and still am very proud of my success of doing what that realtor nor the owner of the building, nor the supposedly smarter prospective new owner seemed to be able to do, provided a community with an open business to be proud of and many want to take photos of their cherished vehicles in front of to preserve their memories of what Streator used to be. I haven't blamed others for your peecieved "failure" of my business. Don't you listen at all to what I say? I have admitted many times that I made the huge mistake of believing that the little bit of information that our City leaders release is all that does happen here and not find out about the many negative impacts that are just allowed to continue with so very few consequences. If the smarter prospective new owner of the Majestic were in our downtown last Friday evening to do better research on what is allowed to happen here and witnessed the drunk's extended yelling, profanity laced tirades, threats of violence and shoving match, do you think it encourages him to persue the deal? I admit that I have blamed our City leaders for the lack of proper enforcement of our laws and continually allowing these "increasing" negative impacts that they seem to have no solution for and keep many good people away, because they are the ones responsible and paid by us to provide proper enforcement of our laws and control the negative impacts. They are the ones who we provide all the tools to do the job. Yes, I believe that they are the proper ones to place blame on for the lack of a proper level of service that we pay for. However, where have I ever said that any City leader is responsible for any failure of my business at the Majestic? Isn't the truth that your claim that I blame them for my business closing is just your crap that you smear on a canvas to try to paint your closed minded ugly picture of me? Don't worry maskedman, I will respond to your other individual claims against me, more to come.

At one time, when KFC was located at where that Chinese place is at now, the food was very good.

I can tell you not to go to that eating facility where Rose Garden was at, for their chicken. My spouse had chicken and my daughter had chicken strips and both had gotten sick and both stated that it did not taste right. Now Kangley Inn has very good chicken.
