City needs to make a law that prevents anyone buying any structure for the purpose of using it as tax write offs. You buy it,you use it. You buy a home in this town ,you are required to live in it. Same with the hospital. They buy the hospital they must continue using it and operating it as a hospital. No closing it down for tax write offs or to stop competition.

Rocket, be realistic, a city cannot impose those kind of restrictions. OSF would only get about 30 cents on the dollar, with a write off. Sounds pretty stupid to me.

I keep reading these articles about how money is running out for Social Security, but I have never read any articles about money running out for "welfare."

WTH does that have to do w/the hosp. poss. closing?? The hospital should never run out of "paying" patients. Perhaps the government should set up places to explain peoples' benefits under Obama Care, like they are doing for new arrivals from south of the border.

Really Job, As if anyone knows how much their Corporate Nanny Insurance would pay until the claim was denied. Just as your "Bud" Snipe didn't, when he started a thread about "St. Fleeces". Job, being of age to be a receiving MEDICARE, do you want to give up your single payer system. I doubt it. Being a recipient of MEDICARE myself, I've never had a better plan. Before that I had to pay any Health Care out of Pocket. I still love it when Right Wingers hold up their signs saying "KEEP THE GOVERNMENT HANDS OFF MY MEDICARE"! MORONS POSTING OXYMORONS! g

It seems a little early for Greek to be drinking. Ouzo? Retsina? Raki? It seems pathetic, the best challenge a Graduate of the University of Chicago Law School is to resort to the same argument our beloved Sniper would make. Wow, I am so impressed with that cogent statement I would expect that from Jimb, chevypower/FI, ironeagle, butterbean, katydid, or Sniper You present no challenge intellectually. g .

If you enjoy YOUR MEDICARE, you better vote for the Democratic Presidential Ticket. Ask, Job Sniper, chevypower/FI, butterbean, katydid, Jimb, how they will give you a plan better than Medicare. Oh, I eagerly await their plan. g
