You have obviously missed the subtext. Sniper and I like to argue with each other. As he once said, "Take an issue and I will argue either side of it." He reminds me of the Medieval Scholastics of whom it was said that they "could make the better part appear the worse." I don't mind. I will still let him buy the first round when I make it to town this summer. I'll buy the second round Roman. As long as it isn't the California stuff you used to drink.

Do you have any resources that disproves that climate change is being affected by mankind that we can study? My curiosity is peaked. Golly, I would think that a temperature change mirroring Earth happening on an uninhabited planet MIGHT give a thinking person a hint. Of course, I am not as "intelligent" as you.

I would imagine that quality of life would include: a low crime rate, good restaurants, top schools, nice homes, and nice golf courses. Yep, that sounds like Ransom. Also, you suggest that 40 miles is "next door." Pick up an Illinois map. Virtually all of the most affluent communities in Illinois are within 40 miles of Chicago. In fact, our bucolic little town is about 40 miles from Chicago; about 26 miles if you simply cross the lake. You got me on the "five minute drive." Ken has to drive fourteen miles to Chrysler's World Headquarters and Tech Center in Auburn Hills. Yea, crime in Ransom is just outta control. I also guess Streator schools are incapable of producing quality graduates, eh Counselor? A quality life is different for everyone, I am pleased you and you son in law chose to chase money, lord knows somebody has to do it. BTW, I was offered at General Dynamics, St. Louis, Honda, Marysville, and Ball space systems, Denver Colo. right out of school...... So it isn't because the choice was not there. I just couldn't see myself living amongst that sea of crap.

Maybe it's just me, admittedly a bit of a simpleton, but I am happy I have a roof overhead, some food in my belly, good health and some friends and family to share it with. I assume Roman is happy in his life and proud of his kids in theirs. I am pretty sure Sniper is happy in his life as well. Why the pissing match of comparative happiness or 'quality of life'. SOME people have an awesome 'quality of life' and are miserable. Others live in horrible conditions and are happy as can be. I suggest the man that is happy and content in his condition leads the richer life. Of course it's human nature to want a little more, a little better. Without that, there would be no drive, and that's not good. Everything in moderation. Yep, unlike Greek, your arguments are relatively cogent, if not correct............. I'm still in for the first round!

How ironic, you tell me to 'pick up a science book". I, have no doubt, there is natural occurences(sp), but, I, do think man is excellerating it. Ok, now since you are so sure Man is causing it, how do we explain the rise in surface temperature on Mars mirroring the rise on Earth? Are there Suburbans and Expeditions screwing up their atmosphere? Really, I am not trying to be argumentative, hell I was one of you before I studied it............ Back when it was the coming Ice age. Seriously, study it. Sniper, As I recall your serious study of climate change or "global warming" presenting the arguments proposed by "The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine" correct? g

www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/research/2007/marswarming.htmlclimate.nasa.gov/evidence/I haven't seriously studied the issue of climate change but NASA seems to think its likely being caused by human activity. They also had an explanation for previous climate shifts in the past. It appears that they also agree with you snipey that Mars is indeed warming. The cause of Mars warming appears to be coincidental to the warming on earth and the two have nothing to do with each other. Of course my sources are from NASA, which is a governmental agency, so you probably think that their conclusions are biased and likely false. If you could provide your sources that convinced you the the whole climate change argument is a myth I will definitely take a look and maybe I'll be convinced just like you.

The Earth? She heals...................... Amazing thing. Snipe, Source please. g Greek, look at Price William Sound. I will ask you the same question, HOW MUCH OIL LEAKS INTO THE OCEANS FROM NATURALLY OCCURRING FAULTS EACH YEAR? I suppose we have "clean ups on aisle 3" for that pollution? Not only are you a phony businessman, you slept at a Holiday Inn last night and now you are a Scientist.

Snipe, I really don't care about you or anyone else believing I'm a businessman. I certainly know you are paid by your "Nanny Corporation", and I'm happy for you. Now, back to science. By answering your question would prove nothing about Climate Change or "Global Warming", would it? Science is based on more than ONE OBSERVATION, isn't it? Oh yea, you're P.O.'ed because your source was the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine. Sorry Snipe, SCIENCE is not a political issue. g

I'm merely summarizing what the scientists from NASA put on their website. What is your source proving a definitive link and thus disclaiming the climate change myth. I'm sure you have many sources since you've admittedly studied this topic in detail, just one would be nice to try and see your point of view. Simply claiming that both planets are simultaneously warming and therefore they must have the same cause is, how should I put this....simplistic at best.

Northsider, quit trying to change the game.
No one is denying the Climate is changing, it has since time began.
It has spent MUCH time far warmer than we currently enjoy, and has had CO2 levels 20X what we currently have.
All before man was around.
YOU are the one scrambling to bullcrap people about how man is causing it.
Why do your "experts" always stop at the year 1880?

The Earth will always cleans itself in different way's, however, they found out they could make money off of it and started to go over board. Not saying that people don't play some roll in all this, because we do.
