I'm not big on taxes, but I do support schools. So do I, but they have to leave a little for me to support my family as well......... I'm tired of eating Ramen noodles while they whine about money.

Dining out at satchs doesn't sound like ramen noodles. I don't know what more people expect us to do. If anyone has ideas you can still run for school board as a write in candidate.

Cut out the Assistant Superindentant and cut the wage that the Superindtent is making. That is one way to help the district. Instead of going from bottom up go from the top to the bottom when making cuts.

When you have administrators hogging every dime in new money, while screwing over the teachers I say it's time to cut the purse strings...How many people at the HS alone hold multiple FULL TIME positions?...I can think of at least 3...If that isn't greed at it's finest, nothing is...

The district makes it sound like they are cutting 5 million dollars every year, the span is over 7 years. Who cares if the state suggests thatthe board approachesthe taxpayer, they do not want to take over the district. The problem is p*ss poor management by the school board and administration at the districts. The school board (administration) ought to be ashamed to submit a budget that is $2.700,000 in the red to the taxpayers. If they cannot operate on a budget, quit or cut expenses. Show some testicular fortitude or grow a pair and say no to the teacher's union. A business could not last long on poor management, that is what the so called elected professional board members are doing. I do not know how some of these members make it in the real world. With the poor test scores on No child left behind tests, the cost is not worth, the investment or defictit.

Yea, once to celebrate the MIL birthday..... haven't had the $$ to go back. Oh hell, what would us peons do if not have a master. Glad I exist to serve the state. Here again, I do not blame the School or the Board, but I DON"T have any more money, we had better straighten out the state or you will be looking for someone else to pay for it.

There are ways to save more money but that would require contract negotiations.
Captain, we cut 2 positions in the Admin Building and a Principal. The Administrators pay more towards health insurance than any others. They used to get it for free.
If anyone would like, there will be an open seat on the board as only 2 are running for 3 spots. If nobody chooses to run as a write in then the current board would appoint someone for 2 year term,

its hard to get a union to give back something they have gotten even if it means losing a few members. the motto of the unions is sacrifice a few for the good of many.

Since membership has fallen to under 11 percent, i would say they sacrificed the good of the many for the plunder of a few........ But hey, I am just a naysaying sky is falling kind of guy........

Fot, it looks like only 2 people are willing to put up with the crap, to run. With all of the ridicule I keep hearing, i sure as hell wouldn't do it. Along with being a teacher or a cop. Who needs the grief?
