Run out of products to sell? Time out keeps going until they run out of all their stuff. Which according to one of their past employees last year said they have been open until October.

Good to hear. I also heard that Friday nights at the Big Dipper are the place to be. A few hotrod people I know have taken their rides there and hung out. I think that's great!

Big Dipper has NOT been sold. We just closed for the Season. We were open the last 2 Seasons in September and was not very worthwhile. The machines use a lot of current and in our case quite a bit of water as well. It uses it whether we have a lot of customers or not, so with the kids back in school, property tax bills due for people, cooling weather and a couple of personal reasons we closed for the Season Friday before Labor day. I heard from more than one source people speculating that we had sold. Others said we are buying other locations. It's all a bunch of bull. We are happy with what we are doing, our location and appreciate all our customers that enjoy coming to our place. We Thank you and look forward to seeing you next Spring with some new treats to enjoy. Thanks to you, our business is growing and we appreciate your support. We DO have some leftover mix to experiment with and freeze to enjoy this Winter. You never know what my creative Wife might come up with next. Look out She's at it again. Good to hear...... just for giggles, did the pizza ever work out? You could run just pizza for a bit longer. As for closing after Labor day, doesn't make me happy, but I see your point and it makes good sense from a business standpoint. As a kid, our local A&W stand always closed after Labor Day weekend as well...... The more some thing change, the more they remain the same.

Everytime I'm there, I forget to ask if you use your drive thru. I've not seen it in use when I've been there, but would stop more often, when coming from work if I didn't have to get out in my scrubs.

Oh, ice cream cakes are a blast to make. So many different variations one can do, from a cookie base to a cake base to more. The last one I made I baked a 9 x 13 cake. Let it cool. Broke it up and smashed it into my springform pan to form the base of the cake. Worked out great. I'm sure your wife will do wonderful making them.
I made a homemade turtle cheesecake a few weeks ago at the request of my son for his birthday. Made homemade caramel and a chocolate ganache to go on it. The crust for it didn't turn out like I wanted but it was still good. Very rich though.

the rumor I heard going around town was you closed the ice cream shop because you had bought trump towers masked man lol. SSHHHH......just rumors......actually we backed out of that deal. The Donald was unwilling to add the 6 story tall revolving ice cream cone on top as we had agreed. Was it going to have a cherry on top? lol

Listened to Hair of the Dog too. I guess I just listened to a wider range of music than you did. And you don't have a lot of room to talk about me having something off.

Seriously I only have a sweet-tooth craving once in a great while, and that's either for cheesecake, or the only ice cream that I do like is Bryers Coffee, sowwy ...which BOTH can sit in our freezer for months on end, lol. NOW if that was any type of salty..chips are my downfall, I am a chip freak, as is fresh baked bread... OMG!!! I refuse to learn how to bake fresh bread because then I'd be 300+ lbs..........lol. NO offense to your ice cream, the big guy loves it all toooooooooo well............just not my fortay........................ M
