KYLE..........are you avoiding my question here? The merchandise in your store front windows is fading from the sun, sorry...but it really is. HOW did you up and leave town with merchandise on consignment from your customers left in your store ? M Sorry M, I've been busy is why I haven't responded, but really, when have I ever avoided answering anyone's questions attacks? I had just responded a few days ago to a very similar attack on another thread. After I responded to that attack, they then tried to claim that I was wanted by law enforcement in another state. I wonder what it will be with you. It wasn't really a question that you wanted answered, just an attack against me for talking about your hero, Tim, correct? You haven't consigned anything and felt cheated, right? The way that the store is run doesn't even effect you, does it? Yet you are highly PO'ed anyway, correct? Not that it really matters to you, but here is an explanation for how the consignors have been dealt with: New consignments were no taken for a while prior to the reduced hours. All of the cash consignment accounts have been arranged to be picked up. One trusted consignor was even given a key to the store to get their items at their leisure and has left them there to still attempt to sell when we do open. The in-store credit consignors entered into an agreement giving Flips complete control over ownership of their items, but with the reduced hours have been allowed extra ways to use their credit compared to in the past and have been offered their consignment items that may be on the shelves back, upon verification. I don't think anyone has taken us up on the offer of taking their items back though. Yesterday one woman came in to inquire about jeans that she had on consignment, but decided to just leave them on the rack and come in to spend her existing credit the next time the store opens. It has been advertised for months that we will post on facebook when we are going to open. We have gotten a few inquires about items they see in the windows, but no upset consignors. We are offering the inventory with a lease of the store if the new business owners are going to do the same type of business and will also continue to honor the credit on those types of items. The store is not closed and all locked up. It was open for four hours yesterday and will be open again in the future. A lot of people stopped in to say hello and support us. If you Like the Flips Facebook page, you should get notification of when it will open next. We didn't just up and leave town, we still live there part time now, but are working on a project in Kentucky now. We'll be back though. I'm sorry if some of the clothes in the window look faded to you. We try to use only clothes that are not subject to consignor credit for those displays, items that are 100% Flips. Cindy looked at them and didn't think they were very faded, knew how many other things we had to do now, and knew that on the next trip she wanted to change them to winter apparel, so we left them. Aren't looking at some slightly faded clothes a lot better than looking at the plywood on the front of the Majestic? Taking low value consignments to provide a service for four years and then phasing the operation down while still trying to provide some value and service to those who supported the business is a lot different and not near as bad as boarding a place up just a short time after soliciting and receiving $130,000.00 in donations from the public under the ruse of providing the community with motion picture entertainment, don't you think? I know that there are quite a few people highly PO'ed about your hero boarding the Majestic up after taking their donations and selling them gift certificates and then not giving them any value at all. When you were a kid and your dad bought the theatre, did you ever take a nap there? Maybe you had better not answer that question, or our City leaders could secretly convict you of some crime that isn't listed in our ordinances and then hold a grudge against you for years for it feeling that you owe them something for supposedly turning their head and then use it to try to retaliate against you, if you talk about what they do. I know that it seems very wrong here in America, but that is how our City operates and why we really do need change here. I really doubt that the place will ever sell(certainly not for anywhere near his asking price) or will ever be open for movies again. People's money spent to support it's future is most likely just wasted away along with all that I put into the former movie palace. Maybe now that the place is dead Tim will sign all those legal forms you have for you to hunt ghosts and spirits there. Be careful though that no roofs fall in on you or you don't breathe anything that might cause mesothelioma, to keep from becoming one of those to be hunted there. Your hero Tim sure did kill the place didn't he? RIP Majestic. I cant believe you're poking that hornet's nest Kyle. Time to get out the popcorn.

I cant believe you're poking that hornet's nest Kyle. Time to get out the popcorn. It felt to me like I was the one being poked. Too bad that thanks to her hero Tim's antics and our Mayor allowing the bar violence to continue, it won't be movie palace popcorn.

First of all KYLE, yes out of pure concern for your store / family business I questioned what happens to the items on consignment when you're not there. NO I have never had anything in your store for consignment, but I do have a good friend who does, and had asked me what I might know...so I inquired to you here. You've got to be kidding me in thinking that I am "highly PO'ed".. certainly by a simple question...you possibly can't think that I am attacking you because of..wow, quite extreme on the defensive side here, don't you think?? When I was a kid my dad wouldn't let me really be in the theatre because it wasn't safe at all, and I was quite young. Now my sister and brother were there helping him alot with renovations and painting since they were alot older then I. The only one that ever slept there per say was my dad but that was with his 45 at his side when the unions in town were giving him such problems of doing all of the work himself. And for the record TIM is nor hasn't ever been any kind of a "hero" to me, only a dear family friend. The only "hero" that I have ever had in my life, and probably only ever have ........... is my father...period. Thanks so much for the bleak reminder of that since I was just getting ready to head out to the cemetery to pay a visit to him, today is his birthday. M

I bet your dad would be sad to see the way Tim has treated people who have worked so very hard to try to make the Majestic successful, and the way that he has killed the theatre.

Oh I know what killed the majestic, it is whatever reason that is convenient for you depending on the conversation!

Wait, I am confused, did Tim kill the theater or was it the supposed excessive bar violence? Oh I know what killed the majestic, it is whatever reason that is convenient for you depending on the conversation! Supposed excessive bar violence? You saw the article where only part of what goes on here was reported, it has been shown that it is more than "supposed". The excessive bar violence is what I feel created the poor numbers to make Tim feel it is a failing business. He had to of known of the numbers before his corporation solicited the public for donations. Boarding the place up after accepting the $130,000.00 created a situation that I feel will continue to keep the place empty. Our City leaders not enforcing our laws to create an environment conducive to family entertainment and Tim closing it up after stealing $130,000.00 from moviegoers under the ruse of providing that entertainment are both responsible for killing the theatre in my opinion. Either way, the people of Streator are the losers created by their actions.

M24...........you're right, but do note that yes the conversation always does revert back to KYLE....................his disgruntles with this town, and the City. When yes, yet AGAIN this theatre, nor our town should have no relevance TO him, NOW. The fact is indeed what he truly what he should to be very concerned about, and direct his attention to...is that he needs to unload a HUGE downtown business / building that he SHOULD be making his main focus upon! Therefore because OF............. he should just shut up, and try / pray to promote it. but unfortunately how NOW ...TOOOOOOOOOOO sell that huge downtown storefront! I just don't get it!? If I had to profile KYLE I would guesstimate him to be one of the "postal" types when not getting their way. M

The majestic will come and go like the municipal pool and its donations and labor , the city closed after rehabilitation . The pool did not cost as much as the bandshell or golf course clubhouse to run. I wonder if city employees got free admittance to be he pool? The employee s would not want to swim with low life's, anyways. Maybe a pool would not be as prestigious as golf shack or sparrow nest called a bandshell.

When yes, yet AGAIN this theatre, nor our town should have no relevance TO him, NOW. If I had to profile KYLE I would guesstimate him to be one of the "postal" types when not getting their way. M Well, thank you for confirming that I was not just being defensive, that it was another attack against me. The way that you tried to claim that I had taken consignments from people and then just left town with their items locked in our building, it did feel like an attack. Now that I have explained that is not the case, you resort to trying to claim that I have some mental condition. It was good that you did decide to try a different type of attack since emachines attempts to claim that I was wanted by law enforcement in another state certainly didn't pan out. Of course there are 94 pages with many posts of my defending myself, I am constantly being attacked by people who just don't like what I have to say. Just like you trying to claim that I have a mental illness because I'm talking about Tim freaking out once again, boarding up the movie palace because Katie had digital projectors installed. Tim is known for his freak outs. I could tell you about a few, but you can read about them including confirmation by someone else of him freaking out on his own father and locking him in the basement of the Majestic, at this forum: www.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/f16/t002008/p4.html With the way that he treats his own father, I am not surprised that he has no regard for friends either. I really think it is Tim that has the serious problem and needs some type of medication. What is the matter, you couldn't come up with any more mental conditions to try to pin on me? "Postal", really? Do you not like postal workers either? Well I suppose that if you don't have anything better to stand behind, trying to attack me and make me out to be something terrible is about all you can do. It doesn't change any of the facts of what has happened here though. What is it that makes you think that I was just some type of manager for Tim? I was the owner of the business leasing the building from him. I could show you plenty of paperwork to show that he was not even any type of owner of the business. If I were just a manager for him, then I wouldn't be liable for any debts for the place and he would have been obligated to pay me for my time running the place. That is not the case at all. I had a contract with Tim that he did not live up to. I even made payments for him that I was not responsible for just before he asked me to leave. I left when he asked me to because it was supposed to be what was best for the Majestic. The "big money people" were supposed to take care of the many problems with the building, but that turned out to just be one of Tim's lies. I could have fought to stay like Katie did, but I didn't because I loved that theatre and thought I was doing what was best for it and Streator. My last conversation with him (back in 2009) had him saying that he would send me payment for the theatre furnishings that I was leaving behind. Leaving quietly and leaving seats, drapes, and other furnishings wasn't good enough for him though, he proceeded to tell many people in the industry that I had always made my living from, that I had abandon and thrashed the Majestic to try to keep me from being able to support my family. He didn't have the place ready to be opened as a first run theatre when I came to Streator in 2007. The Majestic was opened as a result of my family's investment that is still in there. You may see it as a theatre that I had nothing to do with after he reneged on our contract, but having my investment being what made it possible for him and Katie to be running the place, I see it differently. Get over it? Is that what we should tell the people who donated the $130,000.00 thinking that they would be able to watch movies at the Majestic? He stole your money but just get over it? Running to Katie? What are you talking about? Do you just say anything that you want without any regard to whether or not it is true? I have been very critical of Katie through all of this as well. She was part of the November, 2006 cajoling party where Tim and Katie worked hard to try to convince my wife and I to move here and invest into opening the Majestic. She could have done the months of hard work and put her money into getting it open then if she wanted to run the place, but she didn't. She wasn't even there helping us get it ready to open, but she was right there partnering up with Tim to run the place after he got us out. After seeing what he did to us, it is a shame that she wasn't a professional enough of a real estate person to have a solid lease to stand behind before soliciting donations form the public. Now she expects people of Streator to trust her with the sales of their homes? I've posted before that I think they should both be in a prison cell for bilking people of their donations without then providing the service that they claimed they would. What part of that makes you think that I am running to Katie? Maybe you could do an EVP session on the Majestic, that would provide you more truth about what happened than listening to what Tim has to say. "Postal", I'm still shaking my head at that one. Why do you despise postal workers so much to refer to them in that manner?

Kyle, My response is posted here. I'll give you about a year and a half in your new endeavor. I really do wish you well. Perhaps you would do better by investing your efforts and in your new "home town" rather than trying to tell those of us remaining in Streator what to do. Oh, and I do respect your Constitutional Rights of Free Speech. I hope you respect my Constitutional Rights to tell you I disagree with your position. I feel your pain, knowing no one really cares that you left Streator. We may have questions about how you wrap up your son's business. That is important to those who remain. g
