Monday was 90 days since my friend applied. Yesterday she received a letter stating they needed info from the hospital. Called today and was told that she did not put down a specific doctor. which she did. Got told also that they will have their doctors do a physical themselves and will send a letter to when and where and to whom the doctor. I feel for my friend. Your Friend might SERIOUSLY think about getting a Disability Lawyer. I agree, I think your friend is being yanked around...

One of the attorney's that she checked into stated that as long as my friend is not fifty that the disability office will tell the person to get trained in something else. So if anyone has a lawyer in mind, it would be appreciated it so I can let my friend know. My friend is 42 years old and has worked from the time she was 16 (actually even prior). So it's not like she has ever worked to put into her disability.

I have called a few lawyers that a few people suggested. But until my friend receives a denial letter there is not much she can do. My friend has applied for disability back on January 21. Not only has she not heard in the mail, she has called over to the social security office and all she gets is that she will get a letter in the mail here soon. It makes me wonder if they lost her application. Could that be possible that the application has been lost? I know that it is the norm to receive a denial letter for fir time. I am not sure what is going on.

I'm assuming from the conversation from my friend that State is denying everyone and is trying to save money by not sending out letters. According to what my friend stated the few lawyers explained to her is to get retrained in something else even if it is on the low paying jobs. And that she is too young to receive disability. I understand that a lot of people that are on disability are able to work. I get that state is trying to force people into working. But at least send out letters letting the applicant know.

That is what the lawyers explained to this lady. And chances are that she will not be able to get disability because she can be trained for a sit down job and is too young to be on disability. And according to the lawyers, chances are the government has already denied the applicant but don't have to send out letters. Also according to what was stated the government is also behind because of being short staff and way to many people are applying for disability.

Oh by the way SS asked me one day why I didn't apply early.
I did not need a lawyer.
SS agreed I was disabled.

Applying does not mean a person qualifies. g

I understand that a person may not be qualified. But I would still think that they would of sent a letter of explanation for their denial. At least I would of thought so. But there was no form of letter stating that they was denied. So how can a person find out what the decision was and why they were denied and if needed so to make an appeal. All my friend wants to know whatever, so she's can move on type situation. I know someone else also that had a waiting period of five months prior to receiving their ssdi.
