It is interesting that I received a call from our City's Attorney last week, trying to justify their FOIA redactions (as if she couldn't have provided the informatioin in their written response?). The City continues to violate the FOIA trying to protect the escort who seems to be at the center of a LaSalle City Official misconduct investigation and the “rough characters” (as described by Sheryl Churney) who they claim are creating “physical safety” issues in Streator. She also made claims,“from her understanding”, that the escort business files that I turned in to SPD have been turned over to the FBI for investigation. Her telephone call raised many questions for me and spurred even more FOIA requests.
I wonder how much money that law firm collects from Streator taxpayers each year. I would hope they would follow our laws to serve the taxpayers who pay them. Does the escort pay some type of special tax?

Also shouldn't you have turned your files to County then in to state police first before your turned them into the FBI?

She is one of the attorneys that Streator taxpayers pay a lot for, but doesn't seem to look out for the interests of taxpayers. I wasn't the one who turned the files over to the FBI. Sheryl Churney claims that SPD turned it over to the FBI, apparently without any documentation or they should have provided it with my FOIA request. Do you think the FBI is that slow that they are taking over small town escort cases, or would an investigation into official misconduct (as in LaSalle involving this escort) be a better explanation for the FBI being involved?

Why do you hate small town businesswomen so? You wouldn't be a misogynist, now would you? She is probably just trying to keep food on the table after all................. And yes, that is an EPIC troll.

I find it humorous that you rant and rave about people breaking the law and their use of alcohol etc. when you have broken a few laws yourself my friend .... glass houses Kyle. You make claims that there is something that socially, morally, and ethically obligates me to not have boards over windows, but can't seem to provide anything to support your assumed obligation other than your opinion that decent people don't do what our leaders do and have made socially acceptable and decent people don't point fingers at others. Yet after I explain my position, now you also just don't want to discuss the issues, and here you are trying to point your finger at me. More than people breaking our laws and using alcohol, I talk about the lack of proper enforcement of our laws and the negative impacts of the excessive alcohol use. I have no problem with responsible alcohol consumption or it being served within our laws. How much alcohol do you think someone has to consume to call the police to come get them at the bar before they "kill everyone" or pull their pants down on Main Street on a Saturday afternoon? We do have laws that are supposed to keep people from being served so much that they are creating so many negative impacts for our community, don't we? I never claimed to be perfect and don't deny that I have broken laws, but as many have pointed out here many times, it is not about me. It is about what is best for our community. It's not like I have taken any oath or collected taxpayer dollars to uphold or enforce our laws, have I? As someone who pays those who have taken that job and oath, I ask for better enforcement of our laws and am willing to defend myself against their claims or accept consequences for the laws that they can show I am violating. The City has already made their very public claims to be on the cover of the newspaper that my family is illegal and threatened their taxpayer funded legal action against me for stating my requested opinion at Public Forum. Willy did also reveal to us here how before my family even opened the new business that we moved here for, the City was talking crap and pointing their fingers at my family behind our backs. Their building inspector insisted that a four foot fence required a permit, but then couldn't seem to provide written laws to support that. They did though stop my son's business from being able to participate in the annual illegal sidewalk sales as they continued allowing many others without Special Use Permits to participate. They've also attacked me to the SAO, claiming that my laughter of joyously knowing that a thief had been clearly revealed was somehow very disrespectful to them. If they think I am so illegal and bad for our community, perhaps they should try actually filing charges against me, don't you think? I do believe that I will see them in a courtroom in the future though and am looking forward to it. I'm not the only one who our City points their fingers at though, am I? What is OSF doing in Streator? Have they monopolized health care in the area to increase costs as the City claimed in their FTC complaint? Hasn't our City been pointing their finger at those who live outside City limits for using our roads to spend their money in Streator and increase our tax base? When Carl Lenard's victim was threatened with arrest for wanting there to be consequences for the monster's Main Street assault, what do you suppose the charges would have been? No, it's not about me. It is about our community. I don't believe it is good for our community to have our City leaders pointing their fingers at and attacking others for asking for better when they don't do the jobs properly that we pay them for. Do you think that allowing confessed violent criminals to not face consequences for their violence as the City attacks the victim for wanting better has provided what is best for the eleven year old, his family, or our community? I feel that I have only been asking for better for Streator and that allowing crimes to happen here without consequences just keeps hurting.
