Don't expect the public works dept to do residential streets soon. They are focusing on the main roads and downtown area. They may not do residential streets until it stops snowing. But all roads should be open by Monday morning.

I haven't heard a snow plow on my street.....yet. Son-in-law was getting his car unburied. He must need to go to check the warehouse today and take my girl to work maybe. Neighbor has 4' drift on his front porch roof. I'll snow blow only if we decide to leave the house today.

Pointless thread started again. Thank you. After all these decades of winters we would have no idea how it works unless you tell us. SMH.

It is pointless to plow anything other than the main roads right now, the wind will simply close them harder up than before.
You won't win bucking mother nature, at least what she is throwing them right now.
Be patient, or get yourself a 4WD..... I have been draggin the punkin on mine most all of today though, there is significant show out there.

My street got plowed around 11. From my experience when I plowed for the city we would concentrate on keeping the main roads open. Then if those were clear enough we would hit secondary streets. If there was time we would hit the other streets or they would wait. People would also call and want their alleys plowed. I thought that was nuts. What good would it do to plow alleys if the streets aren't open? Be patient, there is no where to go. Most places are closed or you could get there tomorrow.

When we had the blizzard a couple of years ago, the guys had the streets down to pavement within 24 hours. They do one heck of a good job, like FOT said, be patient and stay warm.

willie, I would expect the plowing to be done in 24 hours. These guys are hired to do a job and are well compensated. The wolfpack plowing procedure is a waste of trucks and manpower. Two trucks, side by side, are enough. Divide and conquer, that will get the job done. Oh, I forgot, you are of the "good old boy" concept and may want to get back into politics again. Keep the compliments coming and maybe some day, you won't get defeated by newcomers.

Tell that to all the employers that don't care and want their employees to show up to work no matter what. If a employee cannot get to work cause the roads are not plowed open, then they can kiss their job good bye. Cause they will be fired for not coming to work. Employers do not want to hear excuses why you cannot come to work. Either show up or your fired.
