Myself, the issue with you is you think you are the solution when you're the problem. Obviously there is a difference of opinion as to what the problems are. I think that letting people be over-served to the point that they are passing out, fighting, urinating, etc. is a problem. I think that trying to keep a business from opening with a made up restriction that goes against our laws is a problem. I think that forcing restrictions on some business & building owners but allowing others to have one like the Military Surplus Store is a problem. You can think that I am a problem for talking about the problems that I see if you want to, it doesn't bother me. If you think that continuing to attack, insult and call me names will make me stop talking about the problems, think again. This post supports the previous one. You are the problem and not the solution.

Myself, before you do run as a candidate for city council and begin the task of converting the "good old boys club" into a progressive thinking business friendly law enforcing and abiding political machine that will propel our town into the future, all the while raking in money for our town and improving the quality of life for it's citizens, can you do me a favor? Can you take a drive around town and see what is out there beyond what you can see from the upper stories of your business/home/chicken farm? Guess what!? There are more citizens in this town than the ones you can see outside your windows. We all have buildings/houses that we own, we pay our taxes just like everybody should, we all have eyesores in our alleys, some of us may even have the neighbor we just wish we didn't live near. Not me, I love my neighbors. My point is there is a lot more to this town than what you see from your window. Stretch your legs a bit L.B. (Jeff) Jefferies, I mean Myself.

I am aware that there are more eyesores throughout the community, I have seen some of them. If any of them are owned by people that are forcing others to do something about their buildings, fining them, and adding even more restrictions on them, while ignoring their own mess, I would be just as appalled. My point in even bringing this building up is to try to convince some people that my building is not bringing down the value of a property like the Military Surplus Store, but the contrary.

Why try to convince any one of that? What's the point? If I recall a thread was started on here in which many people, myself as in I, included said kudos to you on painting your building. Of course at the time of my compliment I didn't realize it was a strategic move on your part. I should have known better. Anyway, this topic is about a new business coming to downtown. Another empty building is now being utilized. Oops. My mistake. This is about a different supposed business coming to town. I'm thinking of another thread. There are so many similar ones on here I got confused.

Well, they have the property staked out for the new liquor store. It'll be nice to have another liquor store so close to a school. We have one by the high school, now Northlawn too. Horrrrraaaayyyyy!!

I was getting gas at Palko's today and he said that the guy who bought part of the old P&A Auto Parts building was wanting to put a liquor store in there. That is the part of the building that face Elm St. The part of the building that faces Bloomington St. was bought by another individual and the sign says MJ Track Works or something like that. Part that faces Elm Street...that's pretty off the beaten path, not to mention that of COURSE we do need yet another liquor store...........right? Regardless though I am glad to see the old P&A store being sold...I'll hold my breath though as to what might transpire in there though. M

I didn't know they had their grand opening or a sale. I knew they were putting in a range.(I am guessing basement, but that is just a guess) They have done a great job with the building and landscaping, you are right. I will have to check out the details about the range and prices, etc. Maybe I will see you over there sometime Dog and teach ya how to shoot those pea shooters of yours. I too wish them all the best at the gun shop. The place is looking good. That's what that corner down the street from you is?...hmmm......... interesting, and yes I totally agree that they've done a great job with that whole corner, I just fail to see the room though there??? So...are they now selling liquor too?............ I jest................... M
