Who wants to see a train cruising down the middle of downtown on a city street, let alone a terrorist threat or a disaster happening with those tanker cars derailing and catching on fire and a explosion occurring in the middle of the city.
Who's lame idea from that city gov't allowed these tracks to be built on city streets in a major business area.
I know California have street cars (trollies) on city streets, but a freight train?
They need to relocate them tracks somewhere else.

They already are relocating that train rocket.
Our federal government has been working on relocating it for a while now.
As soon as they get the rest of our jobs relocated to other countries, that train will follow.

Rocket, did you ever consider that the town built up around the tracks, not the other way?
California is a great example of too many people for the land to carry.

that has got to be so stressful for those on the train. It's bad enough at the odd crossing here and there along regular lines but to have block after block?

]WTF?! really? Tell me you're joking and I missed the sarcasm. Nope, not kidding in the least. Check out their water needs and where they get their water from. Check out the reason they have all but banned outdoor grilling. Granted, Northern California is still in balance, but no way in Hades the southern half is..........

Old, why do you hate Ottawa? Just because they put on a better summer show, are the county seat, have a way better park, have a Christmas display by the city and townsfolk, that blows away the tacky decorations, that Streator displays, a better business climate, and the list goes on. Although, they do not have a unfunded band shell, cut them some slack, they are trying. Streator does have entertainment after 9pm on weekends, women lock your car doors- on your way to the supermarket!

There is even more business and people doing things in Marseilles than here in Streator. I tell the younger people about what Streator used to be like on Friday & Saturday nights and none of them believe me.

In my opinion... Ottawa tracks aren't as bad/dangerous as Dwight. I get so worried and scared when they have Dwight days, with all the people and kids running around, when that train comes through. Nothing you can do when a town is built around the tracks though.
