Masked Man, you're driving me nuts. I checked the cast of the movie mentioned and clicked on Bing Russell, which is the correct answer to your question. But the part that drove me nuts was Bing died in 2003 and was 76 years old. So I'm trying to find the actor who died in 2006 and there's nobody in the movie who died then. Good question though. lol

I posted the 2006 year w/ a question mark next to it. I was too lazy to google up Bing Russell's date of death. He still was a working actor most, if not all, of his life.

Who owned Sportsman Park in St. Louis, where the Cards played at one time?

and so Bill Veeck took his show on the road to the White Sox (Exploding scoreboard) and then to Cleveland where they had the cheap beer riot! Shocking that the Browns would own the Card's home. WTG Masked Man. Bill Veeck was the most amazing executive in MLB, second only to Branch Rickey. As a 13 yr. old popcorn vender w/ the Cubs, he came up w/ the idea of growing ivy on the outfield walls.

Just a wild stab, Face the Nation, or maybe a show that started out with Walter Cronkite or John Cameron Swayze.

Just a wild stab, Face the Nation, or maybe a show that started out with Walter Cronkite or John Cameron Swayze. Very close, Willy. It was "Meet The Press". They just announced that David Gregory is out and Chuck Todd takes his place. It is on NBC.

Bet they didn't have very good ratings back in '47. lol Not many folks with a television and if they did they probably couldn't see much. When I was in college in the '60's our antenna was a clothes hanger nailed to the roof. And all we got was WCIA out of Champaign.

WCIA out of Champaign had a teen show on it called "The Hop". It was their version of American Bandstand.

CBS used 20th Century's cartoon company. "Terrytoons" It had Mighty Mouse as one of their cartoons. Very interesting stuff at this link. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrytoons
