I have a Mama Deer & Fawn in my back yard... They been around a week or so..
but mama is injured..hopping around on 3 legs..
I wish I could help her..

LOL..my back yard is like a little petting zoo.. I have skunks, raccoons, deer,cats,possums,foxes, havent seen it yet but my neighbor said a coyote too..YIKES! now that one scares me...

Call up to Wildlife priare Park or Brown Zoo in which are both into education in wildlife and see if possbily they could also help out. or even call a vet and see if they have any idea about helping out without having to kill them.

Helping Sick or Injured Deer You can contact the Illinois Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologist assigned to your county if you encounter a sick or injured deer. However, these biologists do not have the ability to use tranquilizers to immobilize deer so that the deer can be removed from an area and treated. Additionally, few Illinois wildlife rehabilitators have a permit or the facility and equipment necessary to successfully treat adult white-tailed deer. However, deer can survive and recover from fairly severe collisions with vehicles. Broken and fractured bones will heal with time.

However I would love to get rid of the coon...lol just re-locate him..to Spring lake maybe..lol he comes up to my back door steps like clock work.. every night at 8:30 pm.. it is CRAZY!!! he is not scared of me..I took pics of him..he stood up.. I ran..hahaha so now...I have a NEW thing..it might sound a little mean lol.. but I have 2 dogs I dont want killed.. at 8:30 pm the last 3 nights..I decided to get out the hose & spray him..lol.. he will hopefully get tired of getting wet & dont come back..haha.. I hope!!! or its plan 2..catch him & release him at SL or Marilla..lol..

there are people on SOL that might loan you a trap. i had a opossum living under my deck i had to trap and relocate before nextofkin ate it lol.
