I could care less about the sexuality of anyone. Accomplishments are accmomplishments and who cares if one is gay, straight, black or white.

I thought they couldn't teach any bible stories in public schools. IMO, if they are teaching about "gay history" it starts in the bible. But like tosh wrote, who cares who is gay or anything else for that matter, I am not here to judge anyone.

It will be interesting see what form this takes.
Just joking:
General Lee retired for the night on the eve before the second day of the battle of Gettysburg. His adjutant, Major Smith, asked the general if he could be of any further "service" and the general replied,"No, Major Smith...you know I'm straight, but see to it that your tent-mates are taken care of."
California's goofy. But....it's their state, huh?

So what are the proponets of this bill after? Are they saying that if Neil Armstrong was queer he would've been left out of the history books without this bill/law?

gay rights are the newest form of the civil rights movement.... we learn about the civil right movement, why not the gay rights movement? I don't know of any major figures of the gay rights movement other than Harvey Milk but I'm sure there are some. I have seen some documentaries about the gay rights movement it's really interesting to see the similarities between that & how gay people were treated and the civil rights movement and how the black people were treated during that time.

Florence Nightengale, Tchaikovsky, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Gertrude Stein. ALL GAY. If you dont want your kids learning about GAY americans then you better have these folks removed from their textbooks. It was a part of who they were and it is an injustice to gay people to omit them from textbooks because others dont believe in their lifestyle. www.gayheroes.com/gertrude.htm
