going to settle in at around $95 from the $25 it was before I could flush my waste into Streator's. Well, until the Power that be decides that the rich companies not doing what they were contracted to, need more money again.
A perfect example of wealth transferring from the middle class to the rich, right here in little old South Streator.

Same bill. $25 for the water $70 for sewer services and loan repayment to the IEPA. The loan repayment is $30 per month for each home in Reading Township. The rest is used to pay lots to these great contractors being paid to do this work, cough cough.

just wondering - what does the water bill have to do with the sewer bill? The city gets the records from the water co. & charges per cu. ft. So, the more water you use, the more you pay for sewer. p.s. Looks like it's $13.60 per cu. ft., per my latest bill.

By the way, these companies know who I am from previous complaints I made. I can prove it by the terrible service they have provided. I wish I could show you my yard. I do have tons of pictures and a couple of videos that I have taken.

If you feel that you have been unjustly wronged, it is time to contact your lawyer or get one via the yellow pages.
If your case is valid, any lawyer will only charge you aprx. 33% of the settlement & only if there is a settlement.

dumdave, thanks, I understand about the lawyer thing.
These companies have the backing of the powers so it will not be as easy as you want to say. Maybe I should just let them step on my things? What's your connection? You said "If there is one," LOL I didn't see that gem at first.
Excuse me while I go outside and work for a few more hours cleaning up their mess (my yard).

When you sign up for water service do they ask you how many live in the house and how many bathrooms do you have. ?? Ours charge by both of those things. When my son and his family move out of the house and I was the only one left in it I Called the water dept to tell them I was the only one iving there now. It was really cut down in what my bill was ......

We are also very unhappy with the new sewer system. As a matter of fact we will be meeting with our lawyer next week. We bought our house about 2 1/2 years ago, right before this whole sewer system construction began. Our house was in good condition with no foundation problems. A couple weeks ago we went downstairs and there is a horizontal shift in the wall that runs right along where they were digging and shoving pipes into the ground. We have contacted the township and the company that installed the pump and they are claiming it was previous damage. Too bad for them we still have our inspection papers from when we move in that clearly state the basement wall has no damage.

Wouldn't the sewer be a separate bill? That's all. Anyway, I was under the impression the deal wasn't that bad... doesn't others who have city sewer and outside the limits pay double the sewer tax?

our sewer bill is a set rate but if you use more then the alloted water then the water bill and sewer bill will increase. our bill usually runs 56.00 for water sewer and garbage service.
