Well Sniper if you've never smoked I guess it would be hard to understand. Mexican brick, was the usual pot smoked in the 70-90's. It had a dirty taste and a low high, but you had to smoke more to get higher. Oh I have smoked...... And not always ditchweed either. That being said, never have I ever desired a one hit wonder.

Rocket, what is sundowner? Its when a person with dementia gets confused with daytime and nighttime hours. They have to be in light during the day. If not, there minds think night Time is daytime and stay up all night with uncontrolled behavior, running thru the house, and possibly able to get the door open and take off leaving the home roaming around outside somewhere while your asleep. Thats why you need special locks on your doors so they cannot get out of the home, and installing alarms so when they get up and start roaming around the home, the alarms will go off waking you,to alert you the person is up wandering around. They have alarm pads for beds. Person gets up out of bed the alarm goes off. Samething with a floor mat next to the bed. Medical marijuana with thc, stops sundowners and helps keep a dementia person asleep thru the night

Medical marijuana with thc, stops sundowners and helps keep a dementia person asleep thru the night Thank You rocket. Thank God sis doesn't have that symptom! The nursing home has door alarms & personal alarms w/the wires clipped to tham all the time. I've seen the floor-pad alarms & also ones for their shoes. Sis can't get medicated w/Med. MJ until nursing home rules change. They won't do it in the NHs, but I'd gladly keep it & go do it in the AM & PM if it'd help her. BTW, I found that video.

And the fda refuses to approve it , And the federal government refuses to legalize it. Because its huge money lost to doctors, hospitals, big pharma and insurance industry. They would lose revenue ,because lesser people would be coming for healthcare treatment.

And the fda refuses to approve it , And the federal government refuses to legalize it. Because its huge money lost to doctors, hospitals, big pharma and insurance industry. They would lose revenue ,because lesser people would be coming for healthcare treatment. There are trials being done. As of yet, there’s no dosing recommendations, to get approval. So those that are started on it, it’s a guessing game as to therapeutic doses, levels. Example: with seizures, depending on which part of the brain is firing, certain meds at certain blood levels are the most therapeutic. They know this from years of study. Doses are adjusted to keep the levels in your blood, in that therapeutic range. Too low, and ineffective. Too high, and toxic. The FDA isn’t going to approve something without the dosing studies. This is why there are blind studies. Placebos are used to document baseline. In our lawsuit happy society, the FDA isn’t going to approve something just because a desperate family says they see improvement. I’m glad this is working for your loved one. I hope it continues to, and that they find more and more disease processes that it has a positive effect on.

While that is true for most meds, I've found that it's not true for MJ, therefore it won't be for Med. MJ. I do want to clarify that what I'm going to state is not inclusive of ANY MJ product w/added chemicals, only the pure & "clean," MJ. There has never been any deaths from it. Some may have gotten sick, ie ... puking & such from imbibing too much, but they usually just pass out/fall asleep. Studies have been done all over the world, the U.S. is behind, due to it being on the schedule 1 list. Taking it off will allow studies. Israel has done the most studies on it & have even allowed it to be used by their military, as long as they don't imbibe while on duty or in an on-going conflict.

But, as CBD oil is metabolized in the liver, there’s always the possibility of toxicity, leading to liver damage. In a terminally ill patient, being treated for pain control or nausea, or to increase appetite to improve their ADLs, and prolong life, long term liver damage wouldn’t be of great concern. But say, in an infant, to control seizure activity, it would be. Which is why there are trials going on. I myself have high hopes for multifaceted uses of CBD oil, edibles, and smokable form. But without ongoing studies, the optimal route and/or dose/form could miss the Mark. Trials are indeed going on for the effect on different disease processes. And it’s very promising when positive effects are found on expanding disease processes! I get frustrated when I hear anyone who’s against its use medically. I’ve heard many comments shaming parents for their opting to go that route with their kids. How closed minded, judgemental and misinformed is that??

I guess I didn't go that "deep" about the metabbolization in the liver. I should've, knowing side effets of other med. effects on it. Darned near w/most diseases. I get frustrated about parental-shaming, making comments w/out knowledge too. Like I mentioned in another post, Other countries are way ahead of us. One of the first Drs., Sanjay Gupta was learning/dealing it through Charlotte Figi, was skeptical too. Her parents moved to Colo. to use Med. MJ as a last resort. CNN’ featured Sanjay Gupta in August 2013 about the story of Charlotte Figi, a Colorado child with Dravet syndrome.

Just to be clear, I’m not saying that any study has suggested that, that I know of. But, that’s why they do studies. To ascertain the good AND the bad effects. And then, you weigh the options. Every treatment, procedure, has some risk. You just lay them all out with your medical team, and decide what’s best for your case. Which is why no patient or parent should be shamed for trying everything they can.

Most everything is metabolized in the liver, as that is the liver's function. CBD oil has numerous positive effects on the liver and digestive system in general. Only negative research I can find is CBD combined with man-made chemicals and most likely, the man-made chemicals are causing negative prognosis. These studies also use high doses of CBD. That's why the plant doesn't need separated out. THC has has many properties that are good for you. If you believe in God, then you understand he put the plant here for a reason.

Perhaps a search of Israels studies could answer these questions about Neg. & Pos. results on the liver & more? Other countries in the N. W. of Europe, such As Norway, Poland, Switzerland etc. have some good studies & laws too.

CANADA LEGALIZED MARIJUANA TODAY TORONTO — Canada's Senate gave final passage Tuesday to the federal government's bill to legalize cannabis, though Canadians will have to wait at least a couple of months to legally buy marijuana as their country becomes the second in the world to make pot legal nationwide. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government had hoped to make pot legal by July 1, but the government has said provincial and territorial governments will need eight to 12 weeks following Senate passage and royal assent to prepare for retail sales. Trudeau's government is expected to decide a date that would legalize it in early or mid-September. A spokesman for Trudeau said they are not in a rush to do it.
Uruguay was the first.
