Yeahhh...there are so many things that people thought were far fetched a few decades ago and now look at what has come of things. Kinda makes things like the Terminator and Skynet seem very possible. TV shows like Westworld and the robots becoming self aware just lends some sense of "Hey, these things can be possible" to the whole idea of AI. The movie Vanilla Sky where crimes are detected before they occur through DNA analysis don't seem so impossible now. Really can be a little scary if you think about the possibilities. Personally, I think if the "Brains that be" used their creativity for the benefit of mankind instead of merely creating new games to play and new ways to kill and maim each other, then the world and universe would be much better off....but that is also another dream.
The AI knife will definitely be able to cut both directions. With all the information available now, to think about computers being able to come up with cures for any and all diseases does not even seem remote any more....it's probably more a case of who is willing to pay up for it. Who will decide who gets to live and who gets to die?

You do understand thus computer thought outside the box and in some cases used its King offensively.All by itself.. Give it the rules of war(and in some cases tell it there are no rules) and a means to fight one.Look out mama! |

There is no defense for asymmetrical behavior. Then the odds drop to a coin flip, and are the best you can get when you are against a superior force.......... |

We are not doomed.
Think of it this way.
We men finally have another option
For sexual purposes,a computer ai sex robots to be programmed to your liking.
Guess they are like motorized vehicles.
Car was invented, horses became obsolete and put to pasture.
Ai sex robots replacing both men and women in bed.
No more human to human sex contact.
Cuts down on getting pregnant and getting vd .
Win win for both human sexes.

For the last 30yrs ,all the laws created to protect women,i've watched
Alot of women use those laws to better their advantage and as a tool to bully and blackmail men.
Lure and trap men intentionally getting pregnant,so they can take the guy to court for child support.
Cry rape when a guy doesn't satisfy you ect.
Women only want one thing from men.
All there money and assets.
Nothing else.
Plain gold diggers.
If you want to blame someone why no guy wants to touch you,blame yourselves,for what you do to guys.
