We spent a little time down at the Canoe Launch drowning some worms recently. No bites, but enjoyed some time down at the River. Thank You Streator for making the area available. Maybe next time we will try Spring Lake or Marilla Park, both nice Nature areas as well. Anyone been out to play Frisbee Golf this year? At Marilla Park, I do see people walk their dogs out there plus family's and friends have picnics. And yes, I have seen people use the Frisbee Golf. But have you thought about Kashewons campground to go fishing?

I, was cruising thru MP,and some folks were doing the disk golf. They said, this is one of the best courses they have been on, and all had played all over the country, and one, around the world. They were from Joliet. They were kind enough to explain it to me, and then said, if I had ever thrown a frizbee, I could do this. I,laughed, as I was throwing frizbees, before those boys were born. lol Bad me. I have not been out to Spring Lake, yet. That is on my list, again, this summer.

We drove though Marilla Park recently and people were using the frisbee course. It is real popular & I suspect that people , not just from Streator, drive here to enjoy it. Great Idea!

There's nothing TO set-up for bocci ball @ Marilla Park, you just take them & play!

Bocci ball can be easily played using only one hand. This leaves the opposite hand available for clutching your favorite cold beverage. This behavior can be witnessed often in the greater Toluca area. They used to have a Sunday Bocci league that was hosted by the small town taverns out that way. Another idea for our local parks for good use. Also Wenona is known to have players also.

Another nice thing about Streator is having Ice cream places to enjoy treats.

I've been saying that forEVER. I've mentioned on here about adults starting walking groups, to get adult presence in the parks, moving about.
