Have not been sleeping to well, lately. Doctors want me to do a sleep study to see if I may need a C PAP. I've heard a few people, that really like the C PAP. ANd heard a few that don't like sleeping with something on their face. Anyone have any thoughts on C PAP machines?

If you are one who quits breathing from time to time while sleeping, then you should be using one emachine.

I think you should listen to your doctor.

I spent 20 + YRS. trying to find a place to sleep, I even tried sleeping in the BATHTUB to get away from the SNORING & GASPING for air my hubby made while sleeping. Working rotating shifts made it much harder to adjust to the Deafening / Thunderous NOISE I had NO understanding how he could sleep through the noise.... HE was making. His decision to see the Dr. was made from being tired and never feeling rested.... ( OMGosh, you have NO idea ! ) It was not an easy adjustment, he's also claustrophobic. He spent many nights unaware he was throwing the mask at me, then returned to Waking The DEAD Snoring ! Throughout the past 15 + yrs. there's been multiple changes learned with Sleep Studies. There are different types of sleep apnea; some include holding their breath, all do not receive enough REM Sleep required by the body, some require the use of a CPAP or a BI PAP, there could be others. Some require Masks, some Nasal Pillows, each require specialists to fine tune the forced air pressure from the machanics of the individual machines. A Big Warning; Check your Insurance coverage PRIOR to moving forward signing on with the Provider of the Mechanics. We've had to make monthly payments out of pocket until we reached an allotted $ amount before our Insurance Co. takes over the remainder " To Own" payments. It's almost like a " Rent to Own " before the mechanics are paid for. We have to pay a co-pay for new Masks and Tubing when needed which is recommended every 3 months. Insurance will pay for new with a co-pay every 3 months. OVERALL, YOU WILL FEEL MUCH BETTER; LIKE YOU'VE ACTUALLY SLEPT AND MORE ENERGETIC. YES, You should listen to your Dr's, they know you as an Iindividual and what is Best for YOU.
