Yep, I LOVE the movies network.
For any of you with a legitimate antenna, it is broadcast for FREE on channel 50.2! ( Chicago )
Take that cable company.............

Well, we do have cable, but I do not have a silly box. Just a cable, a newer TV and tons of cool channels.

Well, we do have cable, but I do not have a silly box. Just a cable, a newer TV and tons of cool channels. You ought to have hubby get a good UHF antenna and put it on a pole on the roof, should be high enough to get Chicago, point it at 46 degrees off north. The sad thing is they broadcast in HD and you have to pay the cable company extra to get a box to make it HD..... Kind of the ultimate eff you to their customers.

I may find out soon if I can pull Chicago here on the South side. I had my antenna up on the garage. Garage got a new roof, so I may put it up on the house and get an extra 15'-20'. I have my doubts about pulling Chicago here on the South side without a tower. You are probably another 15 miles closer to Chicago and less obstructions Sniper. Eh, I am at about 20 feet right now and pointed straight at a Walnut tree and the center of the barn........ I do have the best fringe antenna and an amplifier.......... We should be about 8 miles closer as the crow flies than you.

So....how much IS 'basic cable'? It was 52 bucks a month when I dumped it in 2004.........

Just don't waste your money on any of the new ones, unless you fork over the 1K plus for a Ham rotor like the Yaesu.
The Channelmaster and variants lasts about a year and then dies......... If you can find an old CDE44 and control, it would be cool.
Actually, they claim with digital, ghosting isn't a problem anymore, so you could put a splitter and point a small one at Peoria/Bloomington.

My TV is HD and I get all of the HD channels, in HD. Still no box. We still have part of the old antenna sticking out of the ground from the past.I do not want Chicago stations. I want Peoria stations.
