However, that gives a person no right to dig through someones garbage.

LOL, maybe not shoot to KILL, but I could certainly see trying to take out a kneecap and walk with a gimpy leg the rest of their days......JK....but if you could actually get by with it..... I fear for our future if people are actually that brazen, that bold, that fearless, or that ignorant that they were never taught basic right and wrong. To respect other peoples property and possessions. We were taught at home, at church, scouts, 4H, maybe even SCHOOL to respect ourselves and other people and their stuff. What's the matter with these people, did they flunk Kindergarten or something? Bigdipper, Do you really believe taking "out a kneecap" for "dumpster diving" or picking up something you placed out for pick-up by "Waste Management" is reasonable? Should it? g g

Did I SAY dumpster diving or things at the curb? Did I not say I was just kidding? Come on Greek read the words instead of twisting them. Now conversely how could you POSSIBLY justify anyone stealing items on some one's private property? Is it just OK for you? MM, keep in mind that when greek responds, it's probably not at all about you. I believe it is all about him.

I kept asking myself how does a child think it is ok to go in to someone’s yard in to their garage and take someone’s bike, then give it a crappie spray job and ride it brazenly in front of the child they stole it from. I can see with this post they must have parents like the ones you are speaking about. I wish that the police would have caught them but here in Livingston county response time is not always easy. If they child was caught then maybe a lesson could be learned. This is not the first bike stolen form my children they have left a bike in the back yard to come in to go to the bathroom to return and it was gone. So I started teaching my children value of money and pride of ownership. I think the hole thing is sad. My children for years work for the nicer things they have. This builds character ,pride and ownership. A few years back someone on here said I did this because I could not buy them the things they wanted. This is not true I work 3 jobs, and got off public assistance I do however I receive medical assistance from the state. My parenting may not seem fair to some who just hands their children laptops ,phones, cars ect... I was one of those parents, but I found this way of parenting is a effective way to instill values into a child. I am very saddened that this happened to my son. He now wants to work for a scooter that you sit and ride on. I am so fearful that someone will steel that too. I told him I will be looking for and buying him a used bike for him. This is because he did EVERYTHING RIGHT and it was the little punk to blame for his loss. I told him I did not want to buy him and new bike or even go want to go 1/2 on a new bike for him so that another kid could enjoy riding it. So we are just waiting for the perfect used bike (that is not spray painted) to come up for sale

Then while you are laying there slowly dying you can ask yourself was it really worth losing my life over?
Stealing from people is not worth dying for people. Get a fvcking job and earn your own money to buy the things you desire, instead of desiring other peoples stuff to want to steal from.

LaSalle County Bulletins & Alerts about an hour ago . CONVERTOR THEFTS! It's happening again. Just got a report from a Bulletins page member who had a co-worker at a store in Peru who had a catalytic convertor stolen from their car while they were at work yesterday, during the day. IF you see anyone who appears to be working on a car, notify police. These are happening in broad daylight. www.facebook.com/LCAlerts?fref=nf

Wow sick just sick bikes, metal now car parts what is next? Stealing is JUST WRONG!!! However I do not see the harm if someone places something in the trash that can be recycled in to something usable for a person to take it BUT ONLY if they ask the home owner first if they may have it. Recycling can be a good thing I got rid of some things other took from my garbage that they were going to use for another purpose. They did not ask but I clearly put it out with the garbage. However it would have been nice to be asked. Also it works both ways. I found a broken dresser someone tossed and asked for it. They were glad to give it to me even loading it up with me. After TLC that gift of the broken dresser is still going strong even with the 5 kids using it.

If it's out on the berm by the road then scrappers can have it. I believe the city owns 25ft in off the rd for easement. So anything sitting outside beyond 25ft in off the roadway is stealing.

ARE YOU FRIGGIN SERIOUS??? ^^^^^ M :? Yes M@M I AM LOL, that guy had some Audacity for the most part. WOW...you're an identity theft just waiting to happen CP, seriously! If you recycle any paperwork of anykind, all you have to do is to take the time to tear OFF any information, IE: names, addresses, account numbers...no need to shred the whole thing, unless you want to take the time to do so. UNREAL............... CP...I'm totally blown away that you throw out your info, not only for the pickers to go through, but where'd that important imfo would end up..who knows?? M

I believe the city owns 25ft in off the rd for easement. They don't have easements everywhere. I was going to post more here about it, but decided to move it to the cesspool thread since it goes into some of my other complaints with the City.
