All north and south roads in town are drifting pretty good. There some spots in town I drove thru that are really bad. Some of the drifts are deep enough that are even with the bottom of my doors on my vehicle. If I didn't have 4wd ,I would be stuck in the middle of the rd.
They could have a couple guys from pwd go out with the pick up trucks and plow the drifts back on the west side of the rd..

I would think the city will wait till the wind subsidies before attempting plowing.

Jeeze rocket, I've driven from Walmart to B&R Grocery South in the last hour in my rear wheel drive "veehickle" and did not have a problem. Perhaps you can PM Sniper and he can demonstrate how you enhance your driving ablities during winter conditions in Illinois. You complain on when the roads aren't plowed, if they are not plowed starting at your house to where your want to go, and should they be plowed to your satisfaction you complain about the cost. g

I would think, they would let the winds die down. Makes no sense, to me, to plow road, that will re-drift over noc. Gosh, it is what it is.

ploys out now and it's windy as heck, because they need to keep up with it anyway, so the drifts do not get out of hand.

I have heard the ploys go by everal times this morning. Not much drifting here. But I did go out and snow blow yesterday. It is getting to be a pretty common chore.

I would think that they concentrate on the highways first. Considering what went through, I think they did a pretty darn good job.
