Gotta Love it while the Mediacom Commercial is on TV while they are Tooting Their Own Horn and the screen goes Black and the Picture Scrambles with Pixels.
I've had to call them " 8 " out of the past " 10 days."
NO PROBLEMS HERE.......... (sarcasm added)

Well, they're going to get another call from me today as well... THEY scheduled an appointment for a Tech to come out Monday...I understood that it would likely be too cold for them to "improve" their issues...Were supposed to be here between 8-10 a.m., I received a phone call from their Tech around noon telling me he would be in the area later that afternoon...Next thing you know, I receive an e-mail from Mediacom confirming MY cancellation of the appointment...
Excuse me?...I didn't cancel anything...Their Tech apparently took it upon himself to cancel the appointment, after telling me he would be here... I will get credited, or they will lose my business...

they will credit your bill if you keep complaining. I can understand why they wouldn't have come out on Monday. we didn't get our mail delivered either.

It's kind of hard to "cut the cord" when you're locked in a contract...That being said, I WILL get what I pay for, or I will switch companies when my contract is done...They know this, and will do everything they can to court me when the time comes...

With such poor service and high prices I am absolutely astounded so many of you still subscribe. CUT THE CHORD........there are alternatives. Vote with your checkbook and perhaps they might actually listen. They would have to step up and offer better services for reasonable prices. I think they will be facing more problems with aging infrastructure requiring more maintenance, rising labor and programming costs while more people facing financial hardships decide to defect from cable. I still subscribe because in the last 5 years my service has only been out twice! Once after the tornado of 2010 and once when my modem went bad. I have had excellent, reliable service and my internet speeds are very fast.

Maybe complain to the city about it & let another cable co. in. There was a contract signed between the city & Sammons Communications years ago TO keep out competition & the city gets $5.00 per customer. I would think the time is past to cut THOSE ties. In fact, *IF* the newer co. even has legal rights to the deal.
I see deals from Comcast & thier other internet services & keep thinking .... why? ... Not? ... Here?

Other places will give you a $200.00 dollar visa card to use for switching over to them, and it would be only half the price for everything. Of course (2) yrs latter they would do the same, but hey! that's (2) years of half the price.
