I looked it up when you first mentioned it super. I will keep an eye out on my feeders. I had a coopers hawk trying to catch a sparrow two days ago in my area.

I looked it up when you first mentioned it super. I will keep an eye out on my feeders. I had a coopers hawk trying to catch a sparrow two days ago in my area. My neigbor said that they saw these hawks. They have a white underside at the wings. Meanwhile, we have seen hummingbirds just about any time we look out the window at the side of the garage that has the canna blooms.

coopers are hawks are a lot different then red tailed hawks. they look like they have black and white strips completely covering them. they are also a lot faster flying then the other hawks.

We first noticed the Coopers Hawks about 5 years ago, when they built a nest in our neighborhood park, they reared up three of the four hatchlings, one fell out of the nest. Since then we've seen them behind our house pretty regularly, they are interesting to observe. We first saw Carolina Wrens, for the 1st time in our lives, about 14 years ago in Ottawa, one came up on our porch while my husband was sitting there, and the wren checked him out, with no trepidation. We've been having them visit our feeders here for the last 8 years or so. They seem to enjoy a variety of foods as I've seen them on each of the feeders, and as someone else said they are very cheeky little fellows, and very inquisitive. Also very pretty, and they do stay most of three seasons.
