We can, almost, set a clock by the coming & going of the birds in our yard. (indication of how busy my wold is,) the 3rd visit of the day is ending now. But as we ate & played a game, we saw grackles, sparrows, house & gold finches, mourning doves, cardinals, & nuthatches. I must have not been in here in time to see the hummers, but they'll be back at least 3 more times before dark arrives:) Just after I posted this I looked up & there was a male hummingbird drinking Away!! Thus in an attempt to edit my post I "liked" it first:( sorry.

One more thought/question. We have a goodly number of robins in our yard, & it seems about every third one is molting. My concern is that they've been in this process for, it seems, weeks now. Does that seem an unusually long time to you all? The ones I was just watching were sporting puffs of dissheveled feathers.

A Carolina wren returned to our feeders yesterday along with the downy woodpeckers who left a week or so back. The D Wdpckrs are generally in the yard during all seasons.

Eva, I have had tons of robins, too. AAMOF, they are nesting again, for the 3rd time. I thought it was only twice. I am using my giant Russian sunflower heads, from last year and the cardinals, are having a feast.

Gosh darn it, dive. Still none, but I have heard folks have had more than usual. I had them early. Hopefully they will be here soon as they migrate.
