Yes. I think he left there and went up by Chicago for a couple years. He is in the St. Mary's south of Ottawa.

Just wondering if anybody else here goes up to the HSHS office by Krogers... and if they are also as frustrated as I am with the constant dr. change up there. I had the same dr. for 30 years in Ottawa. When he retired, I wound up at HSHS up north because that was the only medical office taking new patients at the time. But, omg... I have already gone through 4 drs since I've been there, and now we have a nurse practitioner who has decided to play musical meds with me on my monthly script. Ha.. and I can't even get my script because my insurance is refusing it. Nice. Idk about anybody else, but I'm thinking it may be time to bite the bullet and see about going somewhere else. Who is taking patients?? Hmmmm.... You are on a medical card right? that would explain the changing of Doctors. They are not getting paid by the state, so they are leaving.

And the changing of you're scripts is because the state is telling them what to do.

I can assure you that it has nothing to do with a medical card. I have both medicare and blue cross as a secondary. I have had 3 doctors since Dr. Tieman left, and it has all to do with St. Mary's. The changing of prescriptions is the doctor's choice, not the state of Illinois. And yes, lilmiss, it's a huge pain!

I have blue cross, also. In between drs, they had me seen by another office here in town.
My grandson also has bcbs, and there are Meds of his that the insurance won't pay for, either.

They are talking about medicaid card, not medicare. Now it is going to cost the hospitals more money loss, cause the gov't is looking into the high number of re-admittance of these people coming back to the er as little as a few hours to 3-4 days later. They are looking to force hospitals to keep medicaid patients in the hospital if there is a serious illiness or injury, instead of doing quick test ,giving meds and instructions and booting them back out the door. They will have to stay in the hospital and drs will have to find the root of the problem and fix it instead of a band aid fix.

Rocket, as you don't have insurance, you must not be aware how it works. The insurance companies refuse permission on many admissions, procedures and Meds, also. You are not being singled out as a Medicaid recipient. You really need to expand your sources.

Alright then, however medicaid is not the only one who is giving people problems , it's a money issue with insurance company's also. My two friends who are both doctors told me that Doctors who are with medicaid are having problems getting paid...... and when they do, their only getting a small amount paid.
