Apparently that’s all you liberals who fought for justice equality and less government intrusion in your lives in the 60s and 70s are now.

A credit to Maynard James Keenan for helping me to wake up (and why music is dangerous to the borg)
I've always been a bit of a metalhead. I went through a phase in my teenage years where it was pretty much all I listened to. There was a lot of anger that I carried around with me, and the music that I listened to reflected that anger.
Eventually, I started listening to Tool. I was hooked on the deep symbolic lyrics, the hypnotic music, the meaning in each song I would listen to.
One day, I heard the song Third Eye - the live version on Salival.
The singer, Maynard James Keenan, introduces the song with a bit a brief speech. And that speech, as much as anything, has always stuck with me. It would hit me at the most unlikely and unexpected of moments. It would remind me of something so very important that I had never been taught by my parents or at the kingdom hall or the public school system. This speech planted a seed in my mind that took many years to germinate, to sprout, and to grow. But its effects were inevitable and permanent.
Think for yourself.
Question authority.
Think for yourself.
Question authority.
Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities - the political, the religious, the educational authorities - who attempted to comfort us by giving us: order, rule, regulations. In-forming (forming in our minds) their view of realty.
To think for yourself, you must question authority, and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness; chaotic, confused vulnerability; to inform yourself.

Yes that was a copy and paste Northy..
