As many of you know, the Streator High School FFA chapter hosts a food stand at all of the home varsity football games to raise money for the various events we participate in annually. Ideally, the funds from the food stand assist us for travels, student participation, competitive events, fun activities for students, and so much more!
In the past, we have sold walking tacos (with all of the fixings), Cunningham carmel apples and hot chocolate. FFA members work the stand as well as set up and tear down the stand for all 5 games we have throughout the year. Students are truly learning how to “earn to live” and “live to serve” as students run the entire stand, manage money, and work with customers.
This year, area businesses are being asked for donations to help out with the cost of beef for the walking tacos. Any additional donations that we could get from our FFA family would be greatly appreciated! Any amount of donation would be helpful, as we have used approximately 40 pounds of beef per football game in the past years.
This year we have 5 home football games on:
August 31
September 14
September 21
October 5
October 19
If you are able to assist Streator FFA with this endeavor, please forward a check payable to Streator FFA or any gift cards to local grocery stores/markets to Mr. Hintzsche at Streator High School.
Thanks for supporting Streator High School Ag Program & the FFA. I hope that throughout the course of the year, your student gains something from the program that will continue to help them down the path of success as their are many opportunities for self growth!
