I saw on the WSPL web page that Rauner wants to cut out money that pays for Liver disease because supposively their is no money in the budget to pay the cost for this. Also talk about lay off for conservation officers.
So I take it that Rauner is going to start not wanting to have the money in the budget for certain health disease. He's starting to get guttsy.

Apparently he hasn't had any friends or family die from it. Karma will bite him back.

Humm, Sounds like Rauner is establishing the priority for those who should live with the support of tax dollars, and those who do not deserve to live. Can you say "DEATH PANEL". g

Can't keep spending more money than what we bring in every year.

If politicians were not paid, considered donated time, wouldn't that decrease a large amount to fund what is NEEDED? A lot of them do it for the fame and power anyway.

After all, who has had their fingers on the levers for far longer.

The state of Illinois has sold some surplus aircraft and given the state's checkbook a small boost. Governor Bruce Rauner says four planes and a helicopter have sold for $2.5 million. The sale also saves the state $1 million for inspections and repairs.

A federal judge is giving state lawyers 48 hours to explain which Illinois social service providers have been paid and which ones haven't. She's scolding officials for not fully complying with an order that they pay providers of critical services during the state budget standoff. The state missed a Friday deadline for certain payments.

I was under the impression the state sold or leased the lottery to another party a few years ago.If so why does the state issue the checks...

The contract with the outfit that was managing the lottery was voided due to the fact they did not meet the goal/profit projections they claimed they would meet when they took over operations. This happened under Quinn I believe.
