You put a Marxist in the Big Chair twice and are vomiting your intentions to put another one in...as your current choice dismantles our space program and is doing his best to dismantle our military. Wanna thank a vet? Vote for a different political party next time. Take your idiotic personal ideology to it's logical conclusion and vote for whoever is running for the Communist Party.

Thank you to all the veterans.
We owe you.
To all branches of the Military, and all those who served and are currently serving, thank you.
You have never let us down.
I hope we never let you down.

Actually Memorial Day is to remember those who gave their lives in battle serving our country. They gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have. For that I am eternally grateful.
Now you can return to the bullsheet.

A heartfelt thanks to all the Veterans out there.
It is just that simple.
Our country owes you a big Thanks.
And we owe you the best care and support we can provide.
Yes, I have visited a V.A. hospital and have seen a person my age with no arms or legs laying on a table.
How do I say thank you enough to that person.
Yes, I believe we owe you the best care we can provide, WWII Vets are dying every day. If you know any say thanks!
Korean Vets are getting older,as well and most of those are responsible for the Memorial to Veterans in our City Park.
Thank you!
Vietnam Vet, and there are many we owe you thanks for serving your County.
Those who served in the Middle East during or those wars or did not go overseas, I appreciate your service.
Thank you so very much.
I will not forget you!

Now you can return to the bullsheet. Okay! Let's just remember those who died in battle, not all that served. Am I politically correct now? g

Veterans Day is the official day to remember all who have served as every day should be. Memorial Day is to remember those who died defending our country.

there shouldn't be a day to honor our fallen heroes or a day to thank the veterans that served proudly. every day you wake you should thank a veteran for giving some or all for your freedoms. veterans day and memorial day has become a day off of school or a day off from work with pay. it was a good thing when it started but now it has become just another day. you should thank a veteran both alive and dead every day because you enjoy freedom every day of the year.

Dive, a good percentage of schools ARE having school on Veterans day. They then hold special services, in which most are inviting vets to attend, and participate. I've attended 3 of these at Putnam Co Jr High, 3 years in a row. They were very moving, and very well attended by the vets, and at least one current serviceman. All branches were represented each year I attended. The ceremony that had tears in most everyone s eyes, was the missing serviceman. Each year, the vets explain in detail, at least one ceremony. They go over the meaning of the folds of the flag. But first, the teachers serve them a meal, that the teachers provide. It's definitely a very respectful, moving, and informative day. My grandchildren s school in southern Illinois do the same thing.

There is a Cemetery in the Netherlands that the American troops buried there in WW2 the Graves where Adopted by the Citizens of the Towns they freed. 70 Years later their Kids and GRANDCHILDREN are still tending to the graves of the American Men that died to free them from the Nazi Troops. There is a Waiting list for people to get to take care of the troops buried there. Some GI Kids that never knew there fathers because they died overseas have become close friends with the people that take care of their fathers grave. Not one Family that does do it feels like it is a burden on them they go these Men from America came here Died for us and now this is the least we can do for them.
