Back in the 90's I met an elderly man with the Tattoo on his arm and I bought his dinner. He told me his story of being in Trablicia sorry about the spelling the ones the Americans freed in Hungry. He had been there for 3 years used as a slave Laborer his job was take the Bodies from the Gas Chambers to the Crematoriums to be burned. He had to take his family from the Chambers to be burned.
What Hitler and Himmler did in Europe however was not as bad as what the Japanese did in China. Here is what they where doing to our POW's at the same time using them for Live Bayonet Practice Summary Executions for talking back to the guards Beheading of Prisoners for FUN. For the Women that where captured it was even worse they where sent to so called Relief Camps where they where basically Human Sex dolls for the Japanese Troops to use on R&R. Who told me that my Grandfather who help Bring our POW's home. It is Estimated that 12 Million Chinese Died from Japanese Labor Camps 5 Million more as Prisoners of the Japanese and out of 60 Thousand American and Allied troops that Surrendered on the Bataan Peninsula less than 4 Thousand came home 4 years later the Rest DIED in Japanese Captivity. Here is what the Japanese did to 2 POW's that stood out in my grandfathers eyes. 1st was the last member of the Wake Island Shore Battery Gun Crews. He had his hands so badly beaten that they became Clubs and Useless. The other was a Bombardier on a B-29 that was shot down over Osaka he was captured and they used Red Hot Pokers to Burn out his Eyes.

Very sobering. So much suffering and death in those camps. On one hand I wish that they could be completely razed. On the other, with remains still up it is a visual reminder to never forget and learn from it.
Ironeagle, I agree. The Japanese did horrible things during the war as well. That humans can be capable of such cruelty is horrifying
Chevy, your comment is so disrespectful in relation to the topic you replied to. Shame.

Those remarks, just made me literally sick to my stomach. I know/knew victims of both. That is the reason, those buildings, cannot be razed. We must NEVER forget, either of the atrocities!!!!!!!!!!!!(sp)
