Is anyone else experiencing Mediacom television blackouts?

Been having all kinds of problems since they switched over to digital. Mostly with audio. Got two adapters and one convertor box. They all seem to alternate losing audio on certain channels.

We had problems just as an important football game was coming on. Mom called Mediacom and they reset the box from their ofc. Sometimes just pulling the plug on the TV box can reset it. Same with internet modem.

Thus far it's only happening on 1 TV, blackouts with a message to contact M C IF it continues.
Hubby says if they schedule an appointment and it's an easy inside fix, we get charged. He's good with electronics and can usually fix most electronic tweaking so I usually have to wait for him to fix whatever the issue is.
No problems with phone or computer that I know of.
My Mom in Champaign has Comcast / Xfinity with multiple issues since they have merged or whatever the switch to Xfinity was.

M c never charged me for a easy fix. Either they just started charging, or they are trying to scam more money from you.

I've had issues with Mediacom and have called that 800 number. I get the response that it is sun spots even though it is their digital equipment that is always buffering. I don't want to go to dish service because I really don't want to pay for all those channels that I don't watch. I'm already paying Mediacom for their service and I don't watch all the channels that I'm paying for. Don't hear much on people going to dish or direct tv much any more. How about the phone service through Mediacom? I'm thinking on adding their phone service.

We have never been charged for a service call from MC. But any time we lose it, we call and make sure they adjust the bill. We don't have to pay for M C services not rendered.
