What other forums are highly active to go to,to find out what is going on around town. This site is basically dead with maybe 15-20 people left Posting. Alot of the members left this board after the webmaster passed away. This board is not booming like it was 2-3yrs ago. Back then you could find out what was happening in town here quicker And more informative then what the news media put out . Just wanting to know where everyone moved to.

I don't use that part of Facebook. You have to use your real identity on that site. And I believe using a screen name to hide your real identity to avoid retaliation by another poster that disagrees and hates your opinions .

I like it to keep in touch with friends & relatives all over the country, and even some in other countries. An easy way to keep up on photos, accomplishments & daily things & you don't have to be on at the same time.

Yeah, the bad thing though is that facebook, you employer watch to see what you put on facebook and could hold it against yeah. Cyberbulling is becoming a big issue, due to bullying on facebook. My daughter made the volleyball team at Northlawn, and the altheltic director even advised that if the student or parent bad mouths other team players or other teams, on facebook the student could also be disciplined. for it.
But it is also good to see photos and catch up. But people still need to watch what they put online.

No problem if you limit what you put up, but ... you're dealing w/friends & family! NOT like peeps on forums!
BTW, snapshot is NOT safe either!

Wouldnt the student be reprimanded if they exhibted that behavior in person, on the phone, or whatever? Use your common sense.

Message boards are old news now. Good luck finding one that is "active". Like everyone is saying, if you want conversation, to meet new people, or interested stuff to read, social media is your best bet. I understand everyone's reservation about Facebook, but it is very easy to set up your account to where no one can view your personal info. Your e-mail, phone number and all other information can be made private and no one will ever see it. Your photos can be made private as well. You don't have to use a real photo of yourself for your profile pic either. Facebook gets a bad rap sometimes. Just because your on there doesn't mean everyone in the world will know your phone number and home address. You don't even have to use your real name if you don't want to. All you need is a e-mail address. It's not as bad as it seems, rocket.
