It is winter. It is cold. I do not get why schools close, because it is cold. I may be wrong, but I don't get it.

Well I was going to get into the rant about trudging through the smow and cold in my bare feet to get to school. It just doesn't play well anymore..But if they're calling it off tonight is better than at 5 or 6 in the morning..

I did it w/ pants on, tights(when tights weren't cool), under my dress/skirt, and took pants off, when I, got to school. And the buckle boots, to boot. The ones my older brother out grew. lol We sound like, our parents, ey? It made us stronger, don't ya think?

Wasn't an option for us to walk to school....... 6 miles. BUT, I had a 4X4 and if we were already on the road into school when the cancellation came, we went playing out on the backroads on the way home, most times for hours......... And if we happened to still be home, we ALWAYS offered to go to town to get bread.... Thank God I got smarter as I got older.....

I never said it was called off all the time,to clarify I said a couple times....
