I was just saying that it didnt close bevause of other reasons. There's always complaining about things not being available here in town, but when we do have services, they arent necessarily used. Just a reminder. If one knows someone that could benefit from the warming center, pass this on. Not trying to start a disagreement with anyone. Its cold out. This is a good thing. Thats why i posted. Encourage its use, or it too might not last.

I saw in todays paper that this church is opening at 1 p.m. today due to the extreme cold. Great. At least someone is making effort.

I sat and talked to the pastor a little bit last night. I am glad he started. He just wants to help out for the less fortunate.

I saw that the Salvation Army is also a day-time warming Center, but how do they get out North from both places, not being centrally located?

Agreed Helen. Keep them warm during the day then send out at night to freeze? The one by the church runs at night. That would be the 24 hours.

I saw that the Salvation Army is also a day-time warming Center, but how do they get out North from both places, not being centrally located? I bet they would call the church for a volunteer to come get them. Or maybe theyd call that county bus. I can never think what its called. Something like C.A.T. ?
