Anyone else besides me take down their Xmas tree and other decorations today? Me I don't see the point of waiting till after new years. Xmas is over on December 25th. and I still don't understand why people keep them up even into February still running the lights and look in the window at night passing by and the tree is still up running lights.

Christmas isn't over until midnight when it becomes the 26th. Take it down when you want anyway. I usually leave mine up until New years

Im in no hurry to take mine down. Im sitting here with mine lit, and enjoying the beauty. I usually sleep with the one in my bedroom lit. If i wake up, i will unplug it, but if not, it stays lit all night.
I dont worry about others taking theres down too early. I dont think they should worry that i leave mine up.

Ours goes down after the New Years. Years ago, we lived in a big old rent house. We just put the tree, decorations and all, into one of the closets until the next year. True.

Nope, It is still the holiday season. Some Russians, do not celebrate until Jan sixth, I think it is. Besides, Christmas should be all year long.

I've not decorated in...... Uuuhhmm ¿....... 7 years ?
If I did, It would be ALL Christ related. My home has multiple Crucifixes and Christian decor already within each room.
I HOPE for; a fresh cut White Pine tree with crystal ice cycles, white and blue lights, Mistletoe, and 2 Mangers I used to set up, for next Christmas. It could be my last, I want it to be ALL About " +Christ+ " (THE REASON FOR THE C E L E B R A T I O N + + + )

It did start, as a pagan celebration of the winter soltace. Christ is not the only reason for the "C E L B R A T I O N'. But, I totally respect your reason, to celebrate. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

Thank you very much,
I DID Celebrate a Wonderful Christmas. This very well could be the last celebration of Christmas I'll spend with my parents here on Earth. My parents are ages 89 and 87. As unfortunate as it is, Dementia is setting in with my Father. I am Very Grateful to have had this opportunity.
You ARE Correct, not everyone celebrates Christianity. I think of this with each person I've greeted saying; " Merry Christmas, " it just comes from me naturally. Thus far, I must not have offended anyone I've greeted for decades, or they are kind and let it go. Actually, I'm grateful for the kindness shown from those who show no offense.
My parents have a Personal Aid whose belief is Jehova Witness, Ms. Karoah has the KINDEST SOUL there is. Ms. Karoah assists my Mom with decorating and taking the decorations down. Mom does not expect her assistance with this as part of her paid assignments, Ms. Karoah does this from her heart.
I hope your Holidays have been filled with Joy and Wonder as well,
Happy New Year; Toshiko,
"n"
