Each one that i clicked on, was a Michael Brown case. In the wrong, and made continuing bad choices. So, just by the newspaper article, in your mind there was enough proof to execute the person? Unbelievable, your thought process is that limited. The number alone 1076 people just this year killed by police, is enough to scare the crap out of the avg. person. Unless your a cop, or related to one.

Well, you seem to have enough of a hate on for cops to dismiss your point of view, too. Don't you agree?

Well, you seem to have enough of a hate on for cops to dismiss your point of view, too. Don't you agree? bean brain, it isn't hate for cops, It's seeing a number that is crazy for killing people. If it was any other organization on this earth, I would say the same thing. The system is what I hate. It allows these cops to commit crimes and not be held accountable. Pointing out how many people they killed, is not hate it's outrage. How does pointing out that the police kill on avg. 3 to 4 people a day dismissing my point? That number is crazy, along with 1075 a year. Answer this bean. What other police force in any other civilized country has this many killings in a year. I'll make it easy for ya, name one that has half of the killings a year. We won't even get into having the most people in cages than all other civilized countries on this planet put together. Another question, if this was a gang like bloods or crypts and they killed 1,076 people in one year. Would you think that is a high number? Would you also think it was ok, if we paid them a salary to do it?

I see a problem with the 110 officers killed so far in 2014 while doing their duty to serve and protect the citizens. it`s easy to blame a police officer but you have to remember they come in contact with the worse criminals and armed ones during their days on duty. a police officer has a spilt second to decide if the person in front of them is drawing a gun or reaching for a Twinkie. when my life depends on me being shot or shooting someone else I would error on the side of me shooting them if I was a police officer. I truly believe there are rotten apples that are in the law enforcement business as well as in politics.

Dive, do a little research. The supreme court ruled in 2005. It is not the job of police to protect citizens. Protect and serve is a ruise. How do you feel when you see them flashing lights behind you, or when they hand you a piece of paper saying they will be stealing money from you, protected or serve?

Out of those 1076, how many died because the officer decided to "execute" them, and how many were killed because the officer was just "protecting" himself or others, or was just trying to "stop" the threat? Here is something of interest I read from the Bureau of Justice Statistics website: "The most common reason for contact with the police is being a driver in a traffic stop. In 2008, an estimated 44% of face-to-face contacts that U.S. residents had with police occurred for this reason. About half of all traffic stops that year resulted in a traffic ticket. Approximately 5% of all stopped drivers were searched by police during a traffic stop. These findings are based on the Police-Public Contact Survey (PPCS), a BJS survey that interviews U.S. residents about their contacts with police during the previous 12 months. Persons who reported more than one instance of face-to-face contact during the year are asked to describe the most recent occurrence. The PPCS has been conducted about every three years since 1999. Summary findings An estimated 17.7 million persons age 16 or older indicated that their most recent contact with the police in 2008 was as a driver pulled over in a traffic stop. These drivers represented 8.4% of the nation’s 209 million drivers." So if 44% of the face-to-face contacts were for traffic stops and the number was an estimated 17.7 million, then there should have been about 38 million total face to face contacts between police. That was in 2008 but lets say the numbers are comparable today. 38,000,000 with 1076 deaths comes out to around 1 death for every 35,000 police to citizen interaction. Although any death is tragic, I dont see a number that is out of line here.

Better question is how many were murdered. 1 is too many and should have people asking questions. Instead people care about how many were justified? ?? Oh boy, we are in trouble. Would someone try to answer 1 of my questions in above posts? Instead of trying to justify the killing of over a 1,000 people this year.

The problem is some will argue there is no acceptable reason for a Cop to shoot to protect himself. These cases are further inflamed by the race pimps to keep us stirred up, while legitimate cases of execution by cop are ignored. Imagine a world where we excoriated ignorant thugs who decide to grab a cops gun, as well as one which prosecutes a cop who storms the door and murders a innocent 7 year old girl committing the heinous act of peacefully sleeping. Instead we fight over ignorant things.

Take away their guns and tasers, or maybe dis-band them altogether so they cant put a choke hold on a perp?

Who said disarm??? How about just being held accountable for their actions, I would be happy with that. A citizen review board would be nice too. Getting old, they investigate themselves and find nothing wrong.

Ok, out of those 1076 cases, how many of them that didnt go before a "citizens review board" aka, grand jury, do you think deserved more scrutiny? Out of those 1076 cases were the police held accountable? The ball is in your court, make your case.

How do you feel when you see them flashing lights behind you, or when they hand you a piece of paper saying they will be stealing money from you, protected or serve? the last time I had and red lights in my rearview mirror it was because I was speeding in Champaign county. I was wrong for speeding and kept my hands on the steering wheel till the officer asked me for my license and insurance. I didn't feel threatened or fearing for my life. in my opinion they serve and protect no matter what the supreme court states in their ruling. if you have a problem and call them they will come to serve and protect you from the problem most of the time. they steal money from you when you fail to obey the laws which is stupidity on your fault as it was mine for speeding..............
